- ISSAN rural thailand why i chose here
micks thai travels
so been living in rural thailand in issan now for about 4 years
when i lived in the uk i lived in the countryside in derbyshire near the dales used to love my walks out into the hills ,but always went down to the coast for holidays and thats what i do now
live in a village community about 25 kms from khon kaen thailand so it only takes 30 minutes into khon kaen where i can ge most things and within easy reach of the airport as well if i need that
for me its being off the tourist trail and living with the thai people , found that up northern thailand people are very friendly, abit like northern england to the south
so on this vlog talk about how i come to live here in rural thailand
please drop me a comment how you ended up in thailand, and please like share and subscribe and hit that notification bell for more vlogs to come

@@Worldofourown2024 just don't do tourist areas, great here nice no hassle
Hi mate have a great time camping. We are going to Khon kaen next January I think to start our house in the village about 20 minutes north Khon Kaen near Namphong I am like you I love the village life the people and family are so nice.
Have fun camping ⛺️
@barryelworthy7834 thanks loved doing camping years ago, now a bit older but I can still have the creature comforts even showers, only thing I'm bothered about is , don't get into an area with soi dogs or monkeys
I'm outside khon kaen but only takes me 30 mins to central khon kaen,
Khon kaen is a great city with lots to do
Have a great time here in January keep in touch we,ll have a coffee
Just enjoy life
Ubon Ratchathani is a fine city. Not too big, not too small.
Why do you go to Maha Sarakham Immigration than Khon Kaen Immigration?
@randyirvine5858 mahasarakam is in my district outside khon kaen and trust me immigration is far better than khon kaen
Village life is better than the city I am down the road in roi et wouldn't swap it for the world
agree
Glad to hear that immigration in your province is easy to deal with. I'm still in Bangkok (where I got my retirement visa), but I tried extending my visa exempt status by 30 days once in Loei (before I got my retirement visa) because my GF lives there and I was staying there for a few weeks in a hotel. Anyway, immigration there was not easy to deal with, and they wouldn't let me extend my visa exemptby 30 days (which is normally a trivial thing to do, done it before in Bangkok) simply because they said the owner of the hotel I was staying at (big 4 star hotel that I booked through Expedia) hadn't property filled out my TM30 and that the owner's ID for the TM30 system was out of date in the immigration system. No idea why they chose to victimize me over some spat between the hotel owner in Loei and the immigration office there, but it was a big hassle. I had to do an unplanned border hop to Loas instead (which was suggested by the immigration official in Loei). So... I suspect some of the rural province immigration offices are easier to deal with than others.
@@purp-e3o have no problems with immigration here they are very helpful
@@purp-e3o watch my vlog on micks thai travels on my immigration you will be surprised
Isaan!
And I thought foreigners moved there because it's the cheapest place to live..😮
@kevo8498 it's far cheaper than uk unless you get with a thai that wants a western lifestyle 😉
