Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is a 2013 action-adventure game, and the sixth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series. A sequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III, the game will see the player take on the role of an Abstergo Entertainment research analyst as they explore the story of Edward Kenway -- father to Haytham Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton and an ancestor of Desmond Miles.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be set primarily on and around the islands in the Caribbean Sea during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century, with the three major cities consisting of Havana, Nassau and Kingston.

So far as I know there are 2 types of ''double kill'' animations; the ones where 2 enemies attack Edward at the exact same time and all you have to do is counter them (which initiates a cool animation) & there's the one where you have to kill like 3 ppl in a row then use your tool (Y or Triangle) on the next enemy IF there's at least 2 left! Otherwisetoru can't do the animation. So for example; you get intot a fight with 5 enemies; you counter kill the first, chain kill 2 more then when close to the 4th you just use your Pistol/Rope Dart button (Y or Triangle for consoles) then is should automatically trigger the animation where Edward will include the 5th enemy in the kill, using your Pistol or Rope Dart. I prefer this animation to the double counter because the Dbl Cntr is too easy, while the other requires more.

All the guards felt a lot more human in black flag than in earlier games. Most of the time i would just fight unarmed.
I would mostly fight unarmed in black Flag and use the hidden blade to fight in Revelations

The real problem is that there aren't ENOUGH guys to slaughter like in AC3. I liked having 50 guys attack me and killing all of them in one long streak.

Great skills mate. THIS is the gameplay and awesome combat AC3 never gets credit for starting. The combat in AC3 onward until Rogue was simply amazing when you got good at it. I've put in SO many hours and I'm sure there's still some close up multikill animations I've still not seen.
By the way, I didn't watch the whole video so apologies if you already illustrated this but you can also do the multi kills with your rope darts too. Not just your pistols. But great skills man.

Do you know how to combo because that would make it faster to kill if you don't it's you kill a person and then press x or whatever the attack button is it kills in one hit but it's a cool video

I have not played assassin's creed in a while, and the last game I finished was AC3, but as a long time Assassin's Creed fan, it was seeing this video and remembering just how fun the combat was that I finally decided to get Black Flag.
Criticize Assassin's Creed all you want, sure, I think AC2 was the best, but I will always love this game series, it will always be a personal favorite that I do not follow religiously, but I will shed a manly tear when the series does finally end once and for all. Sure, they are going down the same path that Call of Duty went down, I'll admit it, but I will ALWAYS think Assassin's Creed is a great game.

It's easy to combo but not if the brutes fuck it up or the captains fuck your shit up just kill a person and press x after the first persons dead then you move the analog stick to highlight in white the next target it truly is easy once you get it down

when the guards gang up and they hold up their swords you can jump right through them if you time it correctly instead of running into them and them knocking you back. Nice Video. I just subscribed.

I think you have to counter when two enemies try to attack you at once
the ai does it by itself when you combo a lot, he didnt hit anything special just did his normal x and counter
When i do it i get a kill combo and then when enemies are in the right area and press triangle

Haytham's fighting style was elegant yet merciless. Connor's was brutal yet effective. Edward's it just straight badass and slightly pissed off, like a true pirate.
The fight mechanics were kinda screwed up on AC 3 and 4. In 2 if you saw 2 heavies and 3 advanced guards coming at you you had to just throw a smoke bomb and nope the fuck out of there before you got ran over.
It's been like that ever since AC2 which was the inception of the smoke bomb.
I usually forgot about the smoke bombs after the first mission, I still only go with my blade and fists.
M W There really is never any use for all the equipment they give you.
I'm a minimalist in games especially rpg's I beat ac2 with just van brace armor because I like the robe look better. It looks cooler just kicking their ass like batman with no weapons.
M W I'm actually the same way. I only ever bought the required armour piece. If I was ever running across rooftops I'd use my fists to take out guards because it didn't seem in-character to just mow down anyone who could fight back. But that's just me. I rarely used any of the special gadgets.

Nice to see that i'm not the only one who likes to play with all HUD turned off, except for the map of course. It's just more fun and a bit mor challenging this way, as you can't see a red marker above the head of an opponent when they're attacking. This way you actually have to look for his movements.

Diogo Gaspar Plus, Ezio survived to die at an old age as seen in Assassin's Creed Embers, *SPOILERS*He did get poisoned at the end though*SPOILERS*.
So I guess Ezio was a better assassin than Edward, plus Edward killed an assassin to get the assassin robes, not sure where he got the moves from though. But I don't think Edward or even Ezio killed that many people, I guess it's just to make the game bigger with enemies to kill, still annoying how you can't kill civilians without being desynced.
