Most of his clothes are wearable and relatable. I think he is a very good designer and needs to be more well known to the non-fashionable public.
i know right?! like at the end where all the models walked onto the platform you can really imagine people at luxury shopping spots wearing these.
The one where the man looks undone like he just woke up and forgot to zip his pants up after taking a dump….yeah maybe relatable, but definitely not desirably wearable 😂
I love that JAcquemus's runway clothes are wearable unlike LV and more.
It’s cause they have totally different concepts, I think LV and Gucci, for example, are way more extravagant because they really bring up fashion as an way of art expression, not that JAcquamus does not do it, but Gucci and LV really want to IMPACT. And also, if you look at theirs pieces individually, it’s totally wearable.

LV and other brands are more on couture I think
I know right, some designers (small designers I’m pretty sure) send there models out with inflatable pools on their heads, I feel people are so desperate to be different they end up becoming a laughing stock in the fashion industry. I’m not saying stick to what’s basic, but don’t be absolutely ridiculous either.
@@andrezzacs6824 I agree, it’s more the concept of designers desperately trying to be different to the point where it just becomes ridiculous (I’m not talking about Gucci, LV etc)

@@emmaphilo4049 they meant race diversity, most brands dont want anyone under 5'8 walking to save fabric, and so its not staggered on the runway. if you want to model and your short you have to either be really beautiful and really good at what you do, or you have to have connections/famous parents
Sad that he only likes diversity in models because it makes his clothes aesthetically look good but in reality there’s little to none POC working behind the scenes.

This is by far one of my favourite and prettiest fashion shows I've ever seen, I literally loved everything! Though being the first one in line / last one would probably give me anxiety lol

Damnnnnn Gigi has really earned the title supermodel. She’s the model of our era
Simon presented us with a collection that was closer to his heart than usual.
Note how a great majority of the models are wearing linen in shades of beige, tan and white. That was a reference to a skirt that he made for his mother when he was seven (hence the collection's name).
The clothes were typical Jacquemus styles: sexy, scupltural and French. The menswear as a bit odd looking per usual, but the show seemed different.
This is due to the pared down presentation of the show. Simon switched out his lavish venues, like the Musée Picasso, the Italian Embassy and an actual lavender field for a large white space that the models walked around in, similar to a bustling street.
Another thing to note is that according to Vogue, Simon is working on making Jacquemus more affordable (to a reasonable extent, he's not going to suddenly start selling dresses for €20). For example: Gigi's dress will only sell for €500 at retail.
Rishon Hislop Pared down presentation is probably because there was no more money left in the budget after confirming Laetitia, Gigi, Bella, Liu and Joan 🤷🏾♂️

Love the amount of slayage in this show! From the designs, the models actually know how to walk. Gigi's improvement and the hair flippage. One of my favorites so far this year.

Great colors. Winter is already gloomy enough than to wear deep dark colors too. I like the light colors of the clothing. A blade of grass or a patch of beach sand you see peeking through the snow. The glass and silver like icicles and glitters in the snow. Soft like a fresh fluffy snow fall. I just watched the Versace and another and colors were negative on my mood towards fall and winter. This carputers so much of the beauty of the seasons. I can wear it.
I love the colour palettes of the outfits and the gorgeous shaping of the body. All of these looks were stunningly fashionable while still being able to wear them in casual use. I would die to have this collection in my wardrobe
