Is Tav a graet defender? No. Is Tav a great captain? No. Would we miss him if he left ? You better believe it. He is the longest serving player at the club. Anyone who says Tav is shite is forgetting the shite he had round about him till Stevie G came through the door . There is currently no other player in that squad who could take captains arm band. Jack Butland is the obvious choice but for how long can we say with hand on heart that he will be here ? Finding a successor should be top of the list of priorities this summer .

We need full backs who are defenders first and foremost and we need attackers who can score more goals than Tav. Frankly, we need a whole new defence, apart from our keeper and we need goalscorers. Couldn't care less about the kit.
The St. Mirren game summed up Tavenier for me, 56 seconds in, terrible concentration levels lad goes through on goal and big Jack saves his blushes, nuff said.
He has his moments defensively as does literally every single defender on the team.. all mistake prone. The difference is Tav is the captain and constantly comes up with big goals and assists to save us just like he did last game, I think that makes up for it tbh.

@@georgedonaldson6285 Because Tav gets forward and joins the attack, this would be sorted if we had a holding midfielder to slot in or an actually competent CB pairing. Tavs goals and assists are more than worth pushing him forward and conceding slightly defensively, if the the rest of the team were upto par it wouldn't be such an issue.

Those badges were horrible at the time, and they’re still horrible. Rangers crests should stand alone, not be put it side stupid pimps that do nothing to add to it.
