What about all the fouls lejoke is doing and the opponents never get the FT attempt ? you know how many ? way too much. Yes and that's actually not just LeBron but most of the Lakers. Zero boxing out.
You know the LeBron boot lickers will say he makes up for it with his offensive numbers, but the real problem is his poor leadership along with his lead-footed defense. Those slumping shoulders and looks of disgust towards his teammates does wonders for them. Probably why they blew out Boston when both he and AD sat.

It's funny, starting when he first come in the league, seen multiple articles and commentators say hes got a "photgraphic memory and knows where all 10 players are at all times".
And the media (ESPN) only shows the one time he hustles to make one block and it is good enough for them to praise him for the whole game.That is the reason he doesn’t play defense the rest of the game, because the media won’t called him out.

Worst part is Gordon, KCP and Murray had terrible 3PT performances, so he’s getting pass faked on shots you want them to take.

SUCK is understatement, it is an insult to those who really suck at defense because those who suck are actually trying to play defense and put forth the effort to defend but sucks because their either too slow or weak. It wasn't a "bad shot" coz he got free. But it was the stupid choice. Instead of going for a mid range or finding AD for an easy shot 17s game clock and 11s shot clock LeBalco played ego hero ball. So much for "i always make the right plays" bxllshxt.

They also lost game 5 because lebron couldn’t box out down the stretch. He gave up 2 offensive rebounds that lead to 5 points in the final 2 minutes.

The difference between Lebron and Jordan defensively is massive and that's where there's a huge separation. Jordan is one of only four player to make 1st team all defense nine times and actually won player of the year on defense once. These plays show that Lebron takes plays off on defense to conserve energy for offense and also has zero real sense of the fundamentals. It's hoops 101 on defense to always see the ball and your man. There are probably thousands of plays like these throughout his career.
Its just awful defense and Gordon in that game had 29 pts and 15 rebounds so Lebron did not box him out in the paint neither.

LBJ has BEEN done for years. He has always taken multiple plays "off" and even faked injuries on multiple occasions, even pulling himself from games in recent years. He isn't even a top 20 player all-time. His court awareness has gotten horribly bad (thanks for showing it) and everyone knows that he is still playing bc he wants to play with 'Bronnie'.

To be fair last 3 were mad rotations for the whole team. Lebron goes to help the teammate, his teammates behind him should rotte to cover Lebron's man. They fail to do so. But everything else is just absent mindedness.
I remember when MJ was playing for Wizards, he said that his mind was as sharp as ever, and with his mind he could dominate anybody on the court, but his body could no longer keep up with his mind. With lebron at this age, it is opposite, his body is still there (though you can see he lost many steps, and explosiveness), but his mind is gone. No concentration on defence, no setting your mind to what matters, instead goes on childish tantrums. He needs to retire, plain and simple, it is embarassing

Great analysis. I not 100% convince about the play at 2:10. Reese was late on Murray and as Lebron step to up to him there was plenty of time and some player under the basket to rotate to Gordon. That one at least is arguable I think.
And then, i'm not sure you can put that lost on Lebron defense alone doing the math you did. It put it in perspective so it make sense that you mention it but I think you would agree it's not as straigh forward. Even if he didn't lose his man that doesn't mean Denver won't score on that possession.

I agree that Lebron defense is one of the main reason they lost this series. But even without those 8-12 point the nugget would have win. Just play a bit harder. There is no way the Lakers could have win that series. Maybe avoid being sweep but still.
