Hey Everyone, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Something to consider as we enter the New Year is our shopping practices and how we contribute to unethical consumption and capatilism. In the last 20 years the Fast Fashion industry has become detrimental to our earth, environment and fellow human beings. I recommend you all to do some research about the fast fashion industry. It will really change the way you look at the world around you and how you shop. PLUS shopping Ethically doesn't mean you have to sacrifice trends or looking fabulous on a budget! There are so many amazing ethical options out there. As we head into the New Year try Thrifting! OR If shopping in a thrift store isn't something you are comfortable with yet try online thrift stores and resell sites (Depop, Poshmark, Ebay, Thread up) are all amazing options and there are a TON of local ethical brands out there for you to discover. Remember the damage of the fast fashion industry is not an issue too far out of our hands. As the soul consumers we actually hold all the power. Capitalism needs us and if we collectively decide to support ethical companies over companies like Forever 21, H&,M, American Eagle, Walmart, Amazon the list goes on and on we can actually push for change in business practices. So HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HAPPY ETHICAL SHOPPING!
I was just coming to comment something like this!! forever21 does have cute and cheap stuff but it isn't ethical at all. all the things I own from forever21 I have thrifted (which is a good amount) but I feel better about getting it that way because it has already been purchased! I hope more influences stop shopping at fast fashion brands
