- Back in 2015, before filler became as normal as getting your eyebrows plucked, the Kylie Jenner lip challenge seduced a whole generation of teens to suck down hard and work for those lips. Inspired bye the recent plumping of the youngest Kardashian, who went from 16 to 25 practically overnight, the world became obsessed with that getting Kylie look. Was it real? Was it fake? Do we even care? No, we don’t. Following in the trend of viral challenges that had been taking over vine (such as the Ice Bucket challenge), the Kylie Jenner lip challenge was a turning point for the culture and the Kardashians, the first time that they realised they didn’t need to create elaborate brand campaigns to support crappy products that were already in the market but instead just take a trip to the body stop and tell us you got your new waist all from your new product (a Kanyefied Spanx, let's be real). Anyways, this is the story of the Kylie Jenner Lip challenge.
