The original stone bridge underwent transformations over the centuries, with the version now gracing Lake Havasu having replaced its predecessor in London during the 1800s. The bridge's transatlantic journey, however, took an unexpected turn in the 1960s, fueled by the need for a wider structure in London's modernized era. Enter Robert P. McCulloch, a visionary who saw an opportunity to bring a piece of history to the burgeoning community he aimed to develop on the east side of Lake Havasu. In a twist of fate, McCulloch's purchase of the London Bridge became an attraction to thousands of residents and nearly a million visitors annually.
