- एक किस्से का जिक्र करते हुए जावेद अख्तर ने कहा कि एक कार्यक्रम में मुझे चर्चा के लिए बुलाया गया था. वहां बातचीत में कहा गया कि ओसामा बिन लादेन के खिलाफ कोई सबूत नहीं मिले लेकिन उसे दोषी बना दिया गया और पूरी दुनिया उसके पीछे पड़ गई, इस बात पर जावेद ने चर्चा में शामिल अन्य लोगों से पूछा कि अगर उन्होंने कुछ नहीं किया तो आप लोगों ने अपने घरों में ओसामा की तस्वीरें क्यों लगाईं. इसी संदर्भ में मशहूर गीतकार ने कहा कि क्या प्रज्ञा ठाकुर को सिर्फ इसलिए टिकट दे दिया गया क्योंकि वो जेल में बंद थीं. जेल में बहुत से निर्दोष मुस्लिम युवक बंद थे. उन्हें टिकट क्यों नहीं दिया गया. उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी को लग रहा है कि अब चीजें हाथ से निकल रही हैं. इसलिए अब वो हर कदम चल रहे हैं. प्रज्ञा ठाकुर को उम्मीदवारी बीजेपी द्वारा घबराहट में लिया गया एक फैसला है. NDTV के खास कार्यक्रम प्राइम टाइम में रवीश कुमार ने मशहूर गीतकार जावेद अख्तर से बात की. इस बातचीत में जावेद अख्तर ने कई मुद्दों पर अपनी राय रखी.
