I'm just wondering sometimes, how did they make this kind of sound? What was different? How long did it take, what they used, what was their state of mind?
I don't want to collect vinyl. I realize its appeal, but I don't have the time or space to house a vinyl collection. I rather buy the mp3s like I do for Hyperdub releases.
@@KrishanBhattacharya bit late to the party here but I just discovered that a lot of the Driftwood stuff has been released digitally on Plastic City FX. This gem is unfortunately not part of it.
It’s a fucking classic. Driftwood is among the best deep house ever conceived. For those of us blasting this through their TV, I wish we had something better to look at than a bright white record label. A peaceful mountain scene or a cityscape or something.
No repress 20 years, vinyl plate cost 1000 bucks, real undeground.
This deep lushness was evident in abundance on The Timewriter's Diary of a Lonely Sailor album. As we all its the same person.
maybe one of the best track ever. So simple yet so powerful and nice. Jeremy really got the key...
next level bizness
Heavy rotation! Can't get enough of this!

im pretty sure most of it was just them jamming around their gear high and just going with the vibe
jammin on analog gear and recording this jam live.... using an old master midi clock...
Try keeping your balance whilst listening to this; it's like walking upon a fine wire of diameter D: zero resistance.
So goooooood, can't get enough with this, thanks for this rare upload
masterpiece ! love you frank !
Can someone recommend more labels like Driftwood?

Don't worry about MP3s, buy yourself a turntable & source the vinyl! ;) One Love
