Heres some useful advice buy your paint direct from the manufacturer because you get a better deal and it can be shipped to you . most citys if they paint their own street lines theyll carry the blue paint you just need to ask the right people with in the city or town blue collars .
Turns out if I turn down the pressure on my machine when its windy out it will help. Very new to the business. Just completed our first year. Any help or advice would be helpful. Thanks for the videos Cam.

Did you decided to start your company because you were expecting to make way much money instead of your staying in your job or was it for the challenge and the 'what if' that you expected on the journey of starting a company?
Hey dude! I'm 2019 I started adding equipment, yes. Then some more in 2020... And then more in 2021. We are building a fleet! I started more of a "let's see what happens" strategy, but quickly decided to grow it in 2019 and 2020.

Maybe its a canadian thing because my whole family (canadian) loves hot tubs, but my husband could care less. lol Do you mind if I ask how you price this? Is it cheaper if the job is bigger? Do you charge a flat rate for handicap stalls? x amount per linear foot or per parking line stripe. Im new to this. Any suggestions on line stripers. Im thinking of buying a graco 130 HS, or 3900 or 5900 standard or auto. and a graco driver, and a 3500 titan. so basically trying to choose between 2 paint machines, and a driver. Hoping to stay under 20k US. But Im not sure. Any advice. Also Im definitely liking the video where you talked about the preformed thermoplastic cuts. That was informative

We generally quote our jobs on a lineal feet basis, and then multiply it by a price that varies on project size, layout requirements, etc. We add separate charges for stencils and other scopes. I'd recommend you listen to Episode 14 of the podcast, Stripe It Like It's Hot, as there's some good info there on pricing!

Hey Jacob! Could be a number of issues - worn spray tip, loose gun clamps, paint needs to be thinned, shoot at a higher pressure, stir/strain your paint... Those things should be checked ✅

Absolutely. Profitability in striping is significantly more dependent on the business, rather than market conditions. In fact, I'd argue with the paint shortage, the successful companies will be even more profitable as they plan around the expected problems.
@@stripeitlikeitshot appreciate the reply. Everywhere I drive now i see faded or non existent striping lol.. like home depot, restaurants, etc. I just always feel like the "average" guy will never be like you guys on youtube who are already bada$$ lol.

Hey Paul! No dies here - just Acetone based traffic paint. We use Sherwin Williams and Ennis Flint low VOC paint primarily.
