- This video covers some of Pat Keene's Annual Yuba Bash. Shows some of the guys using the HydroAir 12 Volt compressor system. This is the ultimate tool for sniping for gold in the rivers. They had a great time found some amazing gold, what else can you ask for.
i lived on south fork in early 70,s above Edwards Crossing. We made a cabin and lived there 2 summers and one winter.We had running water in cabin,a fireplace in a crack in the bedrock,witch was our kitchen.Some of the best years of my life.When we left we left it clean,no garbage.We left cabin so others could use.Roy Ramey

The current price is $1399.00 typical air package for one diver 40 foot of hose air reserve tank regulator harness etc adds roughly $381.00 Uses a Deep cycle battery Group 24. Typical run times will depend on divers heath and energy output. If working in shallow diving sport diving and not working too hard I can go roughly 3 to 6 hours. I sniping in a river working very hard closer to 3 hours. Depth of 26 feet or 8 meters is ok providing the diver is in good condition and has experience. Quick story My wife and I took one to Hawaii and we dove to divers 15 to 20 feet deep. We wear ok providing we did not exsert our selves. Single diver no problem. A local Hawaiian guy asked if he could try it out and I said no problem just do not go any deeper than you can stand up. He was a diver as well. This guy was a big man 275 to 300 lbs and before we went down he had to suck down a cigarette. So we both put on our mask, regulators, etc. on and unfortunately, he pulled all the air the system could provide so I had to switch over to snorkel. So you can understand what I refer to health

Since the very beginning, dredgers and limited to certain time restrictions depending on spawning seasons on all rivers. Most of the time dredgers cannot dredge at these times anyhow due to the dangers with High water or fast velocity currents that are dangerous for most people. During the activity of dredging, we create beds of exposed gravels, which create perfect spacing beds where fish, can burrow into the gravel to lay fish fry or Larvae that are somewhat protected from the currents. As we bore down to the bedrock to vacuum deposits containing gold, The deep holes create, (thermal refugia), colder water in the holes which help fish and other aquatic life. Cooler water creates less stress to fish that occurs in warmer water. Environmentally speaking, dredging has been proven to remove 98 percent of all Mercury and lead for our streams and drinking water. Still some environmentalist extremists worked to create a permanent ban on dredging in order to stop mining for their own hidden agenda to destroy this type of outdoor family activity and stops the creation of new wealth.
