I never tried. But this is cool.170 Top speed. My last speed was 140. I was scared so never tried more than 140. In 140 the car was literally very stable. My family shouted at me so I reduce the speed. But I think Punch is really a Punch in it's segment. Happy to see that buying Tata Punch is really a good decision for me. I am owner of icng adventure rhythm it is nice car if you are driving 80 to 100 on highway it piks this speed easily on cng in city you will not feel difference between cng and petrol
Tata cars and SUVs are awesome..I am also using Tigor since last 1 year and my km driven by me is 78000/ In a single year... No any issue awesome engine by Tata ...Revetrone engine is good... 👍.... I am happy...Even I use very very tough but still zero maintenance car...only I am doing regular timely services......I am happy with Tata...
The problem is it doesn't pull well initially and also above 80 when there are 3-4 people inside the car. That's the complaint many have. However, for the given price, i don't think people must complain. It's such a nicely done car. Appreciate TATA for all their recent cars.
I owe a tata punch and trust me guy the car is well planted and rock solid on high speeds like 100+ KMPH. The car may be a little slow in the initial gears but once the car gains momentum the stability is very good for the high speed.

Engine have nice pull from 0-120 and after that it almost struggles to gain speed. its an awesome for city ride and brilliant for sedate long drive. Punch definitely have a punchy drive

I have Tigor latest model. It is such a nice car. And I felt that some people unnecessarily criticized Tata for no reason. Perhaps they are paid by rival companies to criticize Tata cars. Now, the Tata punch appeared to give solid punch in the face of those bull shit critics who blindly misleads customers by saying that Tata cars lag the power in engine. The real fact is in every sector Tata just outdid it's rivals.
I also have tigor xz+ 2021 it is not underpowered at all.I done 160 on it and the accelerator pedal is remaining.at that time I was shocked. I thought that it will go upto 150 but it gave me a big shock
TATA has been launching 5 star safety cars back to back. No doubt that TATA will rise as TOYOTA of INDIA. But considering the dimensions of car, it's not safe to go 140+. Width to height ratio is low resulting in huge risk of roll over. GNCAP 5 star can't save you at that speed. 1.2 L engine is perfect for this bodywork. For enthusiast, no car in the world is powerful enough until they run out of budget.

I have taken test drive of the punch yesterday, it has great platform and the drive quality is similar to German cars. But the engine power could be more for a car of this good drive quality.

I think Bina car ko chalaye koi criticism nai Dena chahiye..ppl should first try it. Aur agar ye normal bhi perform krti hai to aur Kya chahiye.. is budget me agar Hume itna kuch mil raha hai without compromising on safety then it's far better than other cars.
5 star safety rating and ample power for the size. Perfect I would buy it but already have cars , all 5 star safety with six air bags. Family safety should be first priority.

Sir, please do rolling acceleration also...as it is a practical acceleration in everyday drive say from 40-60 or from 60-80.....i have been driving revotrons for 5 years...i know its not underpowered as maruti owners claimed, it is not that very refined but it gets the job done....especially after EMS update, it feels better with time....driving a heavy car, one needs to know how to maintain the right rpm to drive enthusiastically.

I had a Tiago and a nexon sold of both after using it for an year stability safety are all good but engine and gearbox will show its true colors after an year of usage. Tata service is not upto the mark if tata improves all these aspects fine otherwise you would need to live with the tata and be satisfied rather than being happy with the vehicle on its own

I SAW atleast 4-5 reviews and everyone was saying that engine is not capable but you proved everyone wrong, and Company updates ECU as per market requirements, this is new launch company is still understanding the Data to give out the best, for example ALTROZ was also underpowered but later this issue was resolved ! Now some 'AUTO- ENTHUSIASTS' will give "Gyan" on Bunny for testing it on Public expressway and what not !!
Interesting to see a car like punch going in that speed and maintaining decent mileage. When I usually drive my swift 160+ I normally get 7-8kmpl. Although punch is way slower than swift but still impressive for it, doing these speeds. Looks quite stable till 130 too
Video description is so confusing. When they said weak engine, they actually meant the peppiness of it. The 16 sec 0 to 100 time justifies that argument. Top speed is another topic altogether and wont decide if its weak or strong. Maruti Alto can touch 145 ish too so 170 on 1200 cc isn't something surprising. Smaller engine of POLO would do around 190.

Thing is, in NA engines, add a few passengers and luggage in the boot and it will perform very differently, but then again if you had so many people on board, why would you want to drive like this.

What about driver seat visibility and seat height? I sat on driving seat of both TIAGO & PUNCH cars and felt TIAGO better.Being a micro SUV it should have had better driver seat visibility than at least TIAGO. I don't know if my feel is correct. Expert opinion expected.
I brought tata punch on 30/03/2022... And I m totally agree with u....i didn't feel underconfident while over taking. We also run it on 120 kmph. Performance of the car is preety good.
Great review.. I feel the engine is struggling and likes to be driven sedately.. I have driven tata tiago 1.2 and ford dragon 1.2 in freestyle.. Freestyle has got that oomph even at 140 kmph and likes to revved even further. Sad ford is no more.. But loved thier engines.

I've Tata Tiago sir, it can comfortably cruise on highway at 140kph, but any speed above that is not good
Anywhere in India the speed limit in not more than 120kmph so it's good

I have Tigor latest model. It is such a nice car. And I felt that some people unnecessarily criticized Tata for no reason. Perhaps they are paid by rival companies to criticize Tata cars. Now, the Tata punch appeared to give solid punch in the face of those bull shit critics who blindly misleads customers by saying that Tata cars lag the power in engine. The real fact is in every sector Tata just outdid it's rivals.
I also have tigor xz+ 2021 it is not underpowered at all.I done 160 on it and the accelerator pedal is remaining.at that time I was shocked. I thought that it will go upto 150 but it gave me a big shock

TATA has been launching 5 star safety cars back to back. No doubt that TATA will rise as TOYOTA of INDIA. But considering the dimensions of car, it's not safe to go 140+. Width to height ratio is low resulting in huge risk of roll over. GNCAP 5 star can't save you at that speed. 1.2 L engine is perfect for this bodywork. For enthusiast, no car in the world is powerful enough until they run out of budget.

I have taken test drive of the punch yesterday, it has great platform and the drive quality is similar to German cars. But the engine power could be more for a car of this good drive quality.

5 star safety rating and ample power for the size. Perfect I would buy it but already have cars , all 5 star safety with six air bags. Family safety should be first priority.

Sir, please do rolling acceleration also...as it is a practical acceleration in everyday drive say from 40-60 or from 60-80.....i have been driving revotrons for 5 years...i know its not underpowered as maruti owners claimed, it is not that very refined but it gets the job done....especially after EMS update, it feels better with time....driving a heavy car, one needs to know how to maintain the right rpm to drive enthusiastically.

I noticed that when you were driving at a speed of approx 150 to 160 kmph...you were extremely careless...suddenly you picked your mobile to see the actual data of app...at that time may be yo didnt notice both your hands n your eyes were totally concentrated on that app...that was one the most illicit blunder you were doing that time,...doesnt matter..may be you are one the expert driver and having excellent driving skills but dont make such type of blunder during driving...remember one thing everyday is not same n favourable for the same person..you should be extremely cautious at your side...someone had said...one who is excellent swimmer drowns one day just because of his over confidence ... Take it as a genuine advice sir !!!

I had a Tiago and a nexon sold of both after using it for an year stability safety are all good but engine and gearbox will show its true colors after an year of usage.
Tata service is not upto the mark if tata improves all these aspects fine otherwise you would need to live with the tata and be satisfied rather than being happy with the vehicle on its own

I SAW atleast 4-5 reviews and everyone was saying that engine is not capable but you proved everyone wrong, and Company updates ECU as per market requirements, this is new launch company is still understanding the Data to give out the best, for example ALTROZ was also underpowered but later this issue was resolved ! Now some 'AUTO- ENTHUSIASTS' will give "Gyan" on Bunny for testing it on Public expressway and what not !!
Interesting to see a car like punch going in that speed and maintaining decent mileage. When I usually drive my swift 160+ I normally get 7-8kmpl. Although punch is way slower than swift but still impressive for it, doing these speeds. Looks quite stable till 130 too

Video description is so confusing. When they said weak engine, they actually meant the peppiness of it. The 16 sec 0 to 100 time justifies that argument. Top speed is another topic altogether and wont decide if its weak or strong. Maruti Alto can touch 145 ish too so 170 on 1200 cc isn't something surprising. Smaller engine of POLO would do around 190.
So now just delay if 2 or 3 seconds is considered weak lol. Shitty mentality of so called car experts.

What about driver seat visibility and seat height? I sat on driving seat of both TIAGO & PUNCH cars and felt TIAGO better.Being a micro SUV it should have had better driver seat visibility than at least TIAGO. I don't know if my feel is correct. Expert opinion expected.
I brought tata punch on 30/03/2022... And I m totally agree with u....i didn't feel underconfident while over taking. We also run it on 120 kmph. Performance of the car is preety good.

Great review.. I feel the engine is struggling and likes to be driven sedately.. I have driven tata tiago 1.2 and ford dragon 1.2 in freestyle.. Freestyle has got that oomph even at 140 kmph and likes to revved even further. Sad ford is no more.. But loved thier engines.
