I’m surprised they were able to get the Sandman, Mysterio, and wraith into this game, I love the fact the Mysterio Bossfight is pretty much a reference to his story, in web-spinners tales of Spider-Man, i’ve heard it’s been regarded as being the greatest Mysterio story in the comics.

Think about it, another symbiot as one of the 2 major villains right after the game that just did that, it would feel a bit repetitive, so making him the main villain of a dlc for this game works way better. Plus, if he was going to be in the next game, his reveal would have been in the credits like the other big reveals

Replacing Mysterio with two chicks no one cares about was idiotic. The guy is a supervillain notable enough to give a guy like Spider-man a tough time. No way Beck would ever let that even come close to happening. Insomniac dropped the ball with Mysterio badly, which makes me sad because hes my favourite Spidey villain. At least they did my second favourite Kraven better.
You do know they set up Mysterio to be reformed, right? Just like Tombstone & Prowler. They want to put their days of crime behind them & turn over a new leaf.
The whole point of that story was to play into our skepticism about second chances. One thing that was shown was that Quentin wanted to separate from Mysterio. We're lead to believe that Mysterio is up to something and get evidence to prove so, only to have it be revealed that it was fake and he was the victim of his own reputation. He literally said "Mysterio will always be a villian" at the end of his story and knows their no redeeming the name, that's why he's Quentin Beck in the end.
