Hey guys, I know you didn't hear from me for a while! The move preparation is going crazy haha😜 but it's going! Today I’m playing with autumn colored metallics.🍂🍁 How do you like this Feather? And have you ever worked with DecoArt PM and Glue mixture?
Beautiful and love the colors. With supervision, depending on age, this is such a good idea for children during this pandemic. When kids are bored and have nothing to do . . . WHAT!!!!
I love the texture of the feather outlines on the surface, like 3D. But the resin coat gives this painting the ultimate kick! How shiny that is, absolutely beautiful❣️ I definitely have to try that one day. Thanks for sharing, Olga.☺️
The feather pour is a total success! The way the colors came through and the spread of paint as you drew down the center was awesome! The raised paint on the edges down the bottom is really different, but it works SO well on the feather pour and the coat of resin as a finale just made an excellent canvas even better 💝💕
I like how cool it looks raised on the sides. Love the metallic colors you chose. I also have same problem when I use glue as part of medium. Thinning out helps but it's still there even when resin is mixed in with paint. However I am only a beginner. I think it turned out pretty well & like you said the resin will even everything out in the end‼️ Beautiful as always ‼️😻♥️💙
Liked the second one. Lovely bright colours. I follow Renske Douna also. And she has said tthat she has metallics thicker than other colours so they don’t disappear!.👍
You inspired me to give this a go! As a present for my Mum on Mother's Day. First time, didn't go completely to plan - second time, so much better! Thank you for inspiring me to try it ❤
Oh Miss Olga this is awesome... Love the texture! And with the resin....just wow! I so suck at feather pours but watching yours makes me want to try again! Thank you for sharing!
This is fantastically cool! I love the 3D effect around the edge of the feather. And thanks for the tip of wiping edges, it never occurred to me that it would pull more paint off the top when it flows over.
You are most welcome! And I find that trick with wiping edges mostly works with wooden panel. And with canvas it helps to wipe the drips in the back side
Thank you so much for sharing the step by step. I've been attempting to recreate your results with varying results. You're absolutely right about the edges. Learned it the hard way haha. Thank you again! Great video!
I have only used a glue/H2O mix 60% glue/40% water. I love your feathers! They remind me of the Erin Hanson quote, What if you fly. It looks like a black lacquered Jewel box.💕💕💕💕💕🏜🤠
@@OlgaSoby I've never used anything but glue and water because it's all I can afford right now, but so far I love the results for Dutch pours, swipes flip cups, and colander pours. I get a lot of cells like the "Shelee" cells when I torch. Wish I could send you pics. I think it's because I mix my Elmers school glue with very hot tap water by the gallon. Then I shake it really well. I Love all your experiment videos because it let's me see what I might like to spend money on in the future! Plus you're a great artist!!! 🤗hugz from Arizona💕💕💕💕🏜🤠
Oh, wow!! Another gorgeous feather! My colors, too! Did the resin fix the negative space? Also, what is the best consistency for the base and the colors? The SAM info in the Kiss Pour only talks about the contest last year. Is it possible to add the article back? I bet it talks about consistency. 😊😊😊. Thank you! 🥰
Thank you this video inspired me to change things I'm doing with my time, it's because you took the time to share this beautiful craft with the World for free, this was great all the best in the future from Canada P.e.a.c.e 2020 you will be successful from I am the Internet as you are the Internet and 1 more thing it looked better as raised feather.
This is SO gorgeous! I have this "raised" look on a traveling ring pour that sorta turned into streaks of lava across the canvas. My paint actually split cause it was too thick/glue, and the surfaced dried quickly and I tilted again.. but the effect it created is really gorgeous with the raised effect it created! Happy accidents!
Very beautiful, Olga! Looks like you could pick it up right off the canvas. Awesome. Question: what is crazing?? Can you show a good close up? How does it happen?
@@OlgaSoby Crazing most commonly happens when the upper LEVEL of paint dries before the lower level; then as the lower one dries and shrinks, that shrinking causes the upper level to fracture. In most painting this is because a second coat is applied before the first has fully dried. This doesn't directly apply with the flow-painting techniques described here, because you don't do two LAYERS. However, with this type of painting the paint remains so thick on the canvas, that the idea of LEVEL sort of equates to LAYER. The best protection would be to elevate the canvas as it dries, so that air and gas exchange can occur from the bottom as well as from the top of the artwork. (And like others here, BEAUTIFUL work, Olga. Gold star for you!)
As always, incredibly beautiful! You make it look so easy. I watched one of your earlier feather videos and they are truly one of the best techniques. Did you wiggle your paint side to side on this occasion? I couldn't see. Oh golly, there's nothing more gorgeous than a resin coating! My only 'complaint' is that I really wish the little boxes for other videos didn't appear at the end; they completely cover the picture of the results (might be because I have to watch with my phone🤷♀️)..... Glad you are finding time to create. Till next time. Tyfs.C👋💫🐾
Olga, my apologies. I misheard your pronunciation of your name. I tried this technique you did for the very first time ever, and I do resin pouring, on my live channel yesterday. beautiful! Can you tell me where you get those little plastic cups?
I like how the feather is almost raised above the negative space. BTW did your "pimples and tiny bubbles" disappear after you resined?
The became 99% invisible, and the resin has leveled everything out
