Honestly he's the boss I most recently beat (doing a first time/full run) on my first lets play ever, so he was a MEMORABLE fight lmao and was sticking in my brain
From the lore that we've found, this was all part of Miquella's plan. Guy's kinda sadistic in his own way.
I think because Miquella's plan to resurrect Godwyn involved an Eclipse (Castle Sol). Radahn holding the stars back kept this from happening. Once you've defeated him, the sky's movement is free.
Absolute worst Fromsoft DLC lore-wise. The Radahn-Miquella thing is confirmed to be true, out of ALL the lore in the base game this wasn't even partially hinted at. Will not be getting the DLC personally, huge huge huge disappointment. No Godwyn, the least we could get is a face-off with Miquella only but he's essentially just Radahn's sweater at this point. Way to ruin such an interesting character. Lazy, lazy, lazy writing. Game of thrones season 8 tier writing.

I'm guessing u didn't play the dlc yet. I've already heard it makes sense when u get to it. All lore hasn't been uncovered yet. You still have much to go!!
Someone hasn't played the dlc (then again, it hasn't been out for even 24 hours). The lore absolutely explains it, and, when you find out, it recontextualizes almost everything we see in the base game regarding Miquella, Malenia, and even Radahn (though less of him).
Why do clowns like you comment without any information? Fromsoft never dissappointed with the lore. I'm pretty sure it makes a lot of sense. Stop being a hater just because you don't like something that a lot of people put their effort into.
