Thank you Alexandra for the interesting way to present these three exceptional singers. Aurora, her voice and songs transport you to the fairyland of childhood. Not in any fairy tale, but the one from the pen of the Brothers Grimm or Andersen. Ren is a battle with life's darkest moments for mental balance and overcoming depression. Dimash's The Meaning of Eternity is a tale of a child who believes that miracles still happen, Omir is a recapitulation of the prodigy's 29-year life and its ups and downs, a philosophical look back at the path taken and questions about its continuation. A Story of One Sky is about the atrocities of our present day torn by wars and death, and faith that the next generation will find the light to a better world. Dimash is as layered in his message as he is multi-faceted in his music and unparalleled in the mastery of his instrument. And combined with his unique timbre and artistry to tell the story and convey feelings that touch you deeply, for me, in my personal opinion, he is one of the kind among his peers. And yes, it's worthy to see his rendition of the new song written for him Angel Love.
It doesn't matter which one is your favorite, they are three amazing musicians that deserve love and respect not only for what they are doing, but also for the way they are doing it. Personally, I love them all. Ren is the only one I havent seen live yet, but I love how different they are because that means that they have different things to offer, which makes my life bigger, richer and better. No need to choose, but even more important, no need to dismiss one to praise the other. (Sorry for my poor English, its my third laguage).
Your list doesn't cover the Norwegian prodigy Angelina Jordan Astar. She won NGT (Norway got Talent) at the age of 7. She was 8 when she won. She also participated in AGT when she was 13. Angelina's mother refused to sign any contract with Simon Cowell so she didn't win but became second best. Now she's 18 and have a huge rabbit hole to dive into. Over 200 songs +++. So in the UA-cam world there is 4 singers that moves you, or us (Angels). So, It's Ren, Dimash, Aurora and Angelina. Her fanbase is so huge and at any age and is called "Angels". I will highly recommend that you react to Angelina Jordan Astar singing a cover by Screaming Jay Hawkins, "I Put a spell on you",when she was 9 years old. She do covers but also write her own music. Which is brilliant writing and soulf singing. She had a concert in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and people from around the world came to see the concert and wasn't disappointed., She started singing Whitney Houston when she was 1,5 years or actually started singing jazz so at age 10 she was on a TV show singing "Feeling good", BTW also kudos to the band who treat her, the tiny little girl with so much respect and they are calling her "Boss", with so much respect. If you haven't heard or seen her, she's a genius, and speaks like 5 or 6 languages. All of her MV both official or non official is so good. Please check her out as soon as you can because she's releasing a new album next year. 😊 Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴
@@elisabethstermo9396 my list? 🤔 Are you sure you are answering the right comment? Btw, Angelina is great, amazing voice, but so far I've only listened to covers by her, does she have any original material? Honest question.
We continue to introduce Dimash by talking about his octaves of extension, he does not only have a beautiful voice, he is generous, humble, wise, altruistic, respectful towards the weakest, the elderly and children. Dimash is an angel, like him one is born every 1000 years. Dimash moves and makes people fall in love with his kindness, seeing him cry is not easy, he is Kazakh, Kazakhs do not show tears, they do not make a scene on stage with tears, he is a good and kind boy and the best in everything he does.
I'm Brazilian and I live in Rio. I was very touched by how much I identified with your point of view. It's incredible what a space without borders can offer. I feel very lucky to have come across these 3 artists. Rem was my son who introduced me ❤️. Aurora and Dimash came by chance. They are a breath of fresh air for the mind and soul and Dimash never fails to touch my emotions deeply. You made my day, thank you 🤗🥰
I think most of the time, artists kind of intentionally create this relationship, where they feel what the crowd is feeling, and it grows into something bigger, and other times, the crowd can't help but feel what the artist is feeling. They give and they take and altogether create something new and special with each performance and for each spectator. And they're very different in how they do it. Dimash is very good at reaching nations, and hearing him feels like being part of something bigger, transcending the here and now, some would say it's a spiritual experience. Ren reaches groups, makes you feel not so alone, and so very real. Like walking next to him, to quote some reactors. Aurora reaches individuals, and in some ways I think makes you travel in your personal history. Like all the emotions you've ever felt are within arm's reach. I think all of these are equally important and wonderful, and I just love all three of them for what they do
Love your video…….. Many of us admire Dimash's voice, it is a unique voice in terms of range and timbre; but it seems to me that the key to his success is his humility and his human energy. He takes the stage and creates an atmosphere of positive energy and Joy! Dimash is magical and that's why he makes goosebumps! Greetings from Mexico! 🙏🏻❤️👏🏻🇲🇽
Thank you Alexandra. I still feel that Dimash is unique! I have to see him live!! For the lucky ones who will be able to attend the next concerts: September 13, 2024. Astana, Kazakhstan. (Sold out) September 14, 2024. Astana, Kazakhstan. November 22, 2024. Prague, Czech Republic. November 24, 2024. Düsseldorf, Germany.
Great analysis 😊 They are all great and convincing storytellers - as Bob Dylan is ❤ Maybe that is why they are so good at stirring emotions in their listeners. Dimash surely touches my heart and soul ❤️ Aurora is a wonderful singer as well and Ren is probably the best rapper in his genre 🎶 Have a wonderful day ☀️ Love from Denmark 🇩🇰
A very lovely video and topic, Alexandra. I remember when I was young and living alone in a tiny NYC apartment, I put a newly-purchased album of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on my turntable and turned my stereo up as loud as I dared. I wanted to listen to the entire symphony without interruption and that particular experience has stayed with me over many decades. By the middle of the second movement I was in another world and by the end of the fourth movement I was in tears, overcome by the emotion of it all. This piece of music, written in deafness by Beethoven, with choral music that I wasn’t even fond of, showed me the power and magic that music contained when you discover and embrace the humanity of it. I have loved many musicians and styles of music over the years but it has always been a rare thing to find an artist who strikes me in this same emotional way. I discovered Aurora years ago and she is the perfect example of what you are talking about; she is brilliant, sincere, honest, neuro-divergent, funny, sly, talented, and touches both my soul and my intellect at the same time. Ren is a recent find for me and I think he is fascinating in similar ways and, although I am aware of Dimash, I haven’t really travelled in his direction as yet. What I think distinguishes great art from the merely technically brilliant is both the desire (and need) to have something to say as well as the ability to share beauty in the most honest way possible in order to communicate emotions that we sometimes hide or are afraid to experience. These three musical artists are great examples of what we truly need more of in our world. And free Palestine.
Excellent commentary Alexandra, I have watched Aurora and Ren reaction videos to death so was hooked when the algorithm led me to your video. I can't wait to check out Dimesh and more of your music too. Keep doing what you're doing :)
Oh my gosh where have you been all my life!? My first time here and from the very first moments I realized that I would love this video and the person I see in it. I am a huge Dimash fan, but not at all a fan of reaction videos. I just happen to come across a comment in a fb group that said ''go check this out, it is different'' and now here I am grateful to the person that introduced me to you. Very interesting perspective to compine such different artists and yet so similar to each other in their unique way. To be honest first time to see this Ren guy, he seems very interesting indeed, I 'm gonna check him out, and I already knew Aurora mostly through her collab with Wardruna, same as Eivor. They all are real artists, well educated musicians, authentic, creative, brilliant! Love them all and of course most of all my special Dimash. I have seen live in concerts both Wardruna and Dimash and actually I was in the London concert when he cried about Denis and had to leave the stage. Both were concerts that are equal as life time experiences. As I was watching you analyzing all these stuff about the artists I found my thoughts to get totally related to yours and btw I have to add your track sounded awesome I am already on it. But do you know what hooked me here and made me write such a long comment? Your message about Palestine. Much love and respect to you from Greece and much love, support and loud voice for freedom to Palestine.
Dimash he is not only a phenomenal singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, but also a wonderful person with an open heart and soul❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤and if you want to see the actors .... watch Dimash's video clip ... The Story of One Sky and the live version from the concert in Almaty😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤
As Brian Eno said in an interview: The Norwegian singer Aurora, who's one of the most extraordinary people i've met. Absolutely original human being. You just think, who designed her ? She is ... she's such a oneoff wonderful person. ua-cam.com/video/JcsWAjFXFOo/v-deo.html
The top three artists that bring on the feels for me are Aurora, Ren & Diana Ankudiova. Respect to Dimashes accomplishments but I have yet to get through one of his performances without skipping looking for an emotional connection. Haven't found it yet, but I won't stop trying :)
🇲🇽❤️💕🇲🇽❤️💕🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
And by all means, Aurora is not a tiny fairy spirit with funny and corny looks....not at all she is a very wise and creative and powerful woman I very much admire and above all I respect, and of top of it all she shares and spreads all that Love Magic and Goodness she is unique and I was lucky to live in the same epoch she lives and that is a privilege
✨ 🥹 ohh, this is the first time I've been here and you have pleased me immensely. I've been thinking for a long time if someone would do a compilation of these wonderful three aristas and you did it🥹. You said exactly what I feel. Emotionality but also great sensitivity to the world and honestly say what they think, honestly expose themselves They are not afraid to talk about themselves, do not create images of themselves. They all remained humble, warm people, they are stars but not somewhere, far away. They are close to us and want to be close. Dimasha's documentary series, Aurora's film Haik, Ren Life Story Chapters show their "human", real face. There are many artists whose music I love but Dimash, Aurora and Ren are like some other level. It would be wonderful if they ever sang something together. Thank you so much🥹🍀🌿🍀.
Thank you for your thoughtful, heartfelt analysis of these three outstanding artists. I listen to Ren sparingly, as he is too brilliantly unsettling. Aurora has a lovely voice and but I am usually distracted by being reminded of the exquisite Bjork. So, I have a lot of time left over to watch and listen to the magical Dimash!
👍👍Merci pour votre authenticité. C'est peut-etre la raison qui nous touche envers certains artistes : une connexion avec leur authenticité, une proximité d'âme
I am a big fan of Dimash because he really touches me emotionally. Oh yes, if there's one thing that's true, it's that not every artist reaches everyone. Dimash reaches those he does particularly intensely. But many people understand that he's great in some ways, but it just doesn't go any deeper than that... and those he reaches so deeply sometimes don't understand it at all. But I think that's just the way it is. You need the right antenna for the artist and not everyone has that. By the way, there is another singer who I think comes across as very real and can convey emotions very well, especially since he is not afraid to write very serious songs. A particularly moving song is his song Monsters, which he sang when it was assumed that his father would soon die ua-cam.com/video/DTFbGcnl0po/v-deo.html Or the other song that he sang for his dead child: The Girl that never was ua-cam.com/video/LgG4KWvbRRE/v-deo.html
I was watching Dimash reactions for a long time with Ren suggestions poping up and I ignored them for long time. Two weeks ago I finally clicked on it. Absolute genius and beatiful person just like Dimash. Edit: thank you for the video. I really like it.
This was brilliant. You are absolutly right on spot. I feel very much listening to Aurora and Ren.. but not when the greatest singer of all times sings. Thats crazy...I feel a lot when i listen to Dimash old heroe Lara Fabian...Thats me. Thank you for this great video. You are fucking great. Free Palestine!!!❤
Thank you so much, Alexandra! As a Warrior & Weirdo and a Renegade I was so very happy to find this! And I like you and what you say and I also like your music. Subscribed.
Well, that video gave my mirror neurons a workout! I've been dreaming of putting Aurora and Ren together in a room to see what would happen for quite some time now (and may even have planted a seed, but time will tell). They're both brilliant! In Dimash, I can't help but recognize the technical ability, but he doesn't make me feel anything. I think that sonically, it's a little too pretty and doesn't resonate with me. I want flaws and imperfections and grit and spontaneity, and Aurora and Ren don't try to hide that part of themselves. I haven't heard/seen as much of Dimash, but he doesn't seem as raw to me as the other two. It might also be the fact that Ren and Aurora write a lot of their own music (though they both do covers as well, but really make those songs their own instead of just playing them). Who knows? I'm glad that all three of them are part of our universe.
I love your comment. I am a Dimash fan and I am glad you still say nice things about Dimash and recognize his talent eventhough you dont 'feel anything' in regards of his singing. Probably not because of bias but because you are not familiar with him or maybe just your personal preference. Maybe if you would like to adventure into his music and personality someday, that would be great. Maybe I can give some little information that could persuade you? Dimash is a very talented young man. He plays intruments and also composes his own music but also do covers as well as producing. Most of his own songs are about peace and life. Dimash's performances are not always perfect and polished as it may seem. Especially in all his 3 hours concerts. lol I know I may seem like I am trying to change your mind. I guess I'm just trying to say, I hope his technical ability and his works on perfecting the production of his crafts does not take away the emotion in his singing and music. It was only that he was born in a musical family and sent to music school since the age of 5 until he completed his masters degree in music just recently. I kind of think perhaps, all these music education and training as well as having parents working in the music industry are the reasons he is so articulate when it comes to his crafts. He is noy signed because he chose to. As he said, in in order to make music, he needs to have his freedom and does not like anyone telling him what to do. Off stage, he is a very respectful, down to earth and funny guy. I have never been successfull in persuasion lol so maybe you could try to check him out?
@@stephaniejaboh8929 I think information may not be the way to convince most people about something like this. Music is a very emotional experience; while the background certainly sheds light on his accomplishments, it doesn't really have an impact on whether I connect to him sonically. If I were more academic about music, there would be another angle for me to approach from and I would definitely be interested in the contrast between Dimash (with a lot of training) and Ren and Aurora (who are both self-taught) in how they approach writing and where/how they break the traditional rules. That said, I'm happy to give him another shot. Do you have any suggestions of songs in his catalog that are on the gritty or rhymic sides? Or just ones that are super-weird?
@@grysqrlI agree with you. I think he’s Uber talented, but im some ways he’s too perfect. More perfect than any human I could ever hope to meet. In that way he feels very hard to know, because I guess I view mistakes as humanity. I know there are people that are obsessed tho, and I very much like getting obsessed with things… so I’d love to maybe see some interviews or personal life stuff. Either way I respect his art very much.
@@grysqrl Hi. I am not pretty sure what u mean by gritty or rhymic 🤔 but u might try to watch this performance ua-cam.com/video/Rpj-jKWOa4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=pdcMg-nbckktZHyF This song is his own composition. Eventhough it's not a polished performance, I love it so much 😌❤️
@@grysqrl I actually agree with you on that. Music is something that we need to experience to know wether we like them or not. Often times, the background matters less. Its okay if Dimash's music is not for you. It is not for a lot of people actually. I am the only one in my family who likes his stuff actually. Most of my cousins thinks his singing is weird lol but that's okay. its a matter of personal preference. I'm still not sure if Dimash has something that you would be able to connect with. Can I give you one first if that's okay? This one does not contain a lyric. Its originally called Know and it has a lyric but he often performs it without any words and make sounds as he goes. It has many versions and its quite different everytime he vocalises it but I choose this one because its the one I like the most. ua-cam.com/video/UCbpt48KntY/v-deo.htmlsi=w6NoFkq9VeyfcM39
Well well, in my humble opinion Aurora is number 1, been so for the last 8 years.....Ren I found a couple years ago and I was impressed not much in common with Aurora from my point of view and for Dimash I tbhink I found him around the same time I found Aurora, or she found me.....I undertstand and recognize he is very good however I've only listened a couple times with all due respect to our man Dimash and all his followers, I wasn't able to listen anymore cuz I can't stay for too long in his tracks dunno what's going on simply can't definitely not my kind And I'm going to watch and listen and certainly will try to understand your point of view and I want to let you know that I've only watched your Aurora reactions and I think a cover you did of one of her songs.......so I'm all eyes and ears hope I can bear dear Dimash this time I'll try my best promise
Slippery slope, tossing three fandoms together. Here come the commenters who feel the need to be divisive and tell us why they can’t stand [insert artist here]. I think this was a brilliant and very well-presented connection of three absolutely brilliant artists. I’ll adore Dimash to my dying day, but I appreciate and very much respect the other two, as well. This is my first time seeing your channel, and now you’re only the third channel (after Dimash and Falling in Reverse) that I’ve ever hit notification alerts for. It’s funny that you played a clip of The Fairy Voice Mother, because I kept thinking how much you and Lolli remind me of each other. ❤️
I’m a renegade and I’ve heard One or two Dimash songs. I’ve heard of Aurora but never listened to her music. Are the other two fan bases aggressive? The majority of renegades are sweet and understanding people and I can’t imagine them collectively fighting with anyone, so I’m surprised by this comment.
@@LeeannG I think there are some inadequate people in every fandom. Fortunately, most people are good, kind, and loving. I am a Dear, btw, but I would never put down other artists. Every artist will find their audience.
Good analysis from the three, even if you just scratched their shell. The tip of the iceberg would be a five-hour analysis. But you have now given many people the opportunity to climb these three mountains themselves. Very good summary as far as the core of the chosen musicians is concerned. For my part, I can find more on Aurora's site. By the way, she is also a singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist 😉 like the other two. All three live in music and the music lives in them. Translating sounds into music and feelings is a gift that connects all three. Especially Aurora reacts quickly to sudden noises. In Beijing it was the bang of a firecracker "oh puff" in another interview the honking of a car that immediately made her hug. In "Once Aurora" the teaspoon that hits the cup... no matter, your analysis encourages us to learn more about the artists and makes us curious. Thanks for that.❤ Jeg håber i øvrigt, at din flytning til Norge lykkes. Som dansker kender jeg Norge og forstår fascinationen af landet. Men det er ikke kun Brexit, men også den stigende højrefløjsvold i England, der irriterer mig over England i øjeblikket. God beslutning.😊
I would argue harder to mask your feelings when singing than when acting (so would agree these artists are all really feeling it). Thanks for the analysis always very good. I’m here for Ren but interesting to hear more about the other two.
I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these artists and the mystery of music. I listen to reaction channels and read comments. I find many people are so enthusiastic about the artists they love that they expect everyone else to feel exactly the same. I know for myself that there is whole world of very successful artists whose art doesn't move me, and I can't say why. I appreciate they are talented and may even enjoy some of their performances (or not) but wouldn't seek them out ( or may avoid them). Also, I can't determine within myself why certain artist resonate so strongly. And as you say, some that I truly enjoy are not so technically talented, and some are downright abrasive! It's a mystery for sure.
Another brilliant video and topic Alexandra 💖✨Which I completely agree with on every level. I am also a musician, and nothing moves me less than virtuoso musical performances without emotional involvement and engaging delivery. It's like watching a juggler throw eight balls around in the air. Very difficult yes, but why do it?? What is the purpose? I think really good acting is about diving into emotion so much that one is not playing a part anymore, the actor become one with the emotion. These brilliant artists have that magical ability. A funny aspect with Aurora is that she tends to shake her head after a performance. As if shaking off the character or feeling that has occupied her being for a moment. And she regains her own personality and presence 😁
From these 3 artists I listen to Ren the most. I really like Aurora too. For Dimash it is mostly his skills that impress me. I don't like his music much. Which has nothing to do with his singing skills. His music style is just not my cup of tea. I like your song. I can even hear some influences from my favorite artist. Hua Chenyu 😮😊. Even so you might not know him. He is the artist who touches my heart and soul the most. And his music is so interesting because every song is different. I think it is beautiful that there is such a variety of amazing artists. So everyone can find their favourite. How boring would this world be if we would all love the same music, artists, art etc.
If you watch Dimash singing The Story of One Sky sung live at the 2023 Almaty Concert you see his total immersion in the song - desperately imploring the work to work for Peace. The music video shows his pain in this small film.
Cada uno tiene su propio publico y yo tengo mi numero uno....todos los cantantes y bandas tienen sus seguidores desde los malos cantantes......a los que interpretan con exelencia...
My favorite vocalist ever is Eivor, however these others are great also. Aurora's cover of The Beatles, Across The Universe, is the greatest cover of a song I have ever seen. Both she and Eivor covered Famous Blue Raincoat. Both she and Eivor have worked with Wardruna. Love these Nordic girls. My favorite Eivor penned song is Boxes. My favorite Aurora penned song is Little Boy in the Grass.
I really like Dimash's songs, they sound more complex to me. I often watch other singers trying to cover his songs and it's clear how difficult his techniques are. I respect the other artists Ren and Aurora but in my opinion they sound ordinary.
Watch (Ren the Tales of Jenny and Screech - full 13 minute version). You will quickly find out that it is not ordinary and has not been done by another artist. He is the top story teller, he is a singing bard.
@@kellyt5341 All right, Ren is a marvellous storyteller, but when I say it to myself, it sounds ordinary. I'm referring to his tone of voice. Even though he's a great storyteller, it's clear that his vocal techniques are limited. I respect him as an artist, but my opinion is that his voice is ordinary.
@@ricdeio Fair enough....we will have to agree to disagree. He has had many vocal coaches pick him apart and are amazed with his voice. He is a master at guitar (acoustic, electric and bass), piano, raps and sings damn good to me with soul. He morphs into who ever he sings, Sting, Bob Marley, Nirvana, etc. He is a top sound engineer, makes most of his beats, lyrics and produces his music and videos. He might not have the best voice but it is very good. Not bad for laying in his bed-tomb with a Chronic /autoimmune disease throughout his entire 20's. 14 yrs of lymes and autoimmune. After his stem cell transplant he is crawling his way out of it after almost 2 yrs of intense treatment. He is only 34, he is just getting started. Most of his music he made from his bed while sick. He is getting stronger and he is going to be getting better.

You are so insightful, I really enjoy your analysis videos. As for the 3 artist you covered, I will admit they are all extremely talented, but for me, I only listen to one of them, Aurora. Ren is so very talented, but his music to me, is violent and covers so many ugly realities, I see enough ugly in the world, I don't want it in my musical entertainment. As for Dimash, super talented singer, but, he is to much like opera for me, which also does not appeal to me. All great artists, but Aurora is the only one that speaks to me emotionally with her lyrics and her voice. Thanks.
Very interesting, thank you. I'm a Dear, but don't just blindly love everything Dimash puts out. The overly theatrical/emotional stuff is not for me. (The Singer's "Adagio", for example - no thanks. "Marigolds" - can't stand it.) Which is, I think, why I'm not connecting with the other two so much. Too much drama! Though Aurora does have a beautiful voice. Ren sounds more or less unhinged to me with the frantic rapping, and as you said, the world is crazy enough, I don't need that in my music too. But isn't it great we have access to so much music from around the world nowadays? So much to choose from, something for everyone!
@@faelland my hubby can't stand Aurora bacause of her quirkiness and appearance on stage (a bit fun considering we have a kid diagnosed with ASD). Everything I like about Aurora and makes me connect with her is what he dislikes. He would most definitely describe her as theatrical even if I don't. I don't see Dimash as overly theatrical either (and I've seen him live several times). He is a good performer, he does what the song calls for but IMO in the right way, it's embedded in his soul, it's not just for the sake of being dramatic. Non Dears often see the polished single performances done for an event or a TV performance, I much more love Dimash in concert where you see how free he is on stage, how he trusts his audience and often improvises or breaks character - that's the Dimash I love.
@@tuttasbI agree with you 💯. Non Dears tend to only see the one off polished performances of the Chinese or Russian shows. Dimash at his own concerts is a completely different ball game, flawed, raw, honest, funny and with a stage presence and charisma that blows the roof off the stadium.
@@debbiemorgan859 Thank you for pointing this out. Dimash fans should sort it out, because the shows you are talking about, that I saw in a few reactions (that had thousands of views) were too artificial for my liking. Good to hear, he is a real artist.
@@tuttasb Oh, don't worry. When I heard and saw Aurora for the first time (KEXP I think), I dismissed her as a quirky singer with somewhat weird music :). I mean, I used to listen to Bjork and a lot of alternative music in my life, but at that moment I was more into London Grammar and stuff, but not listening to music much in general. But after a year or so I must have seen something that made me love her. I wish I knew what it was :). Surely something that showed her personality and empathy. (The same happend when I saw Bjork in The Dancer in the Dark, by the way.) Sometimes there is a block in someones psyche, some preconception, that hides all the good in the other person/artist.
Excellent idea for a video, and very well-executed! I like how you talked about it being ultimately up to the listener whether or not there is a connection being made. I connect 100% with Aurora, but I feel nothing with Dimash, aside from being impressed by his talent. With Ren, it's something in between. I often connect with him on his videos, but I wouldn't just straight listen to him.
I gave your comment a like even if you don't connect with Dimash as I'm a Dear first and foremost. I really loved this idea for a video! To be honest, many of the Dimash performances often suggested to new listeners aren't the ones that connects with me the most, my Dimash gems are hidden deeper down in his catalougue or performed at his solo concerts. It's not his talent or the "wow moments" that made me a Dear, it's the emotions he brings and the little details in his singing, I love his improvisations! I also enjoy Aurora's music and have a deep respect for her but as a norwegian I'm a bit surprised she isn't more popular in Norway (everyone knows her but I haven't met many fans). I haven't really checked out Ren yet but based on what I've been told I understands why he connects with people even if I don't think it's the music I will put in my playlists.
@@tuttasb I appreciate your passion and your response! Who knows, that connection with Dimash could still come at some point. Sometimes it just takes the right song or performance to make it click.
@@tuttasb Yep. I watched some reactions to Dimash, and for me it was not „the whole package“, because the songs were not his. The same with Angelina Jordan. And the hype about their (or anybody else's) prodigy skills is honestly a bit annoying for me. But maybe you can suggest the songs that you were talking about, that are really his?

These days he doesn't sing many covers in his concerts, maybe just SOS and If I Never Breathe Again, one local song to honor the local audience and then some folk songs he re-arranged and made his. Other songs might not be composed or written by him but the arrangements are usually his and many songs in his repertoire are written for him on his order or in cooperation with him. Jeg synes du har en vakker sjel og en nydelig personlighet :)) De av oss som kan kjenne og føle den verden som musikken kan skape i hjerte og sjel, har et rikt liv. @@Alexandrasaurus (The Danes, Swedes and Norwegians like to tease each other. Shouldn't be an insult to the Norwegian language, anyone who knows Scandinavian humor knows that 😉) just in case you don't know that...
@@Holgerdansk yes - I have read about that - you all laugh at each other, but you all love each other too. We have the same in the UK with the Scots and the English, or even the Northern English and Southern English 🙂
I really don't understand people's fascination for Ren, his music makes me feel depressed and hopeless whereas Dimash's music fills me with hope and joy. He's the Leonardo da Vinci of music, an underappreciated misunderstood genius of music who we will only appreciate fully when it's too late, like many other geniuses of the past. Yes sometimes he tries things that don't entirely work but no one could ever accuse him of playing it safe for the fortune and fame.
@@SandraP3796 no thanks, 3 songs was quite enough. He's no different from many other singers here in the UK, they're all singing in that same tone, with the same depressive self absorbed lyrics. I like to think of the world as a bigger place which is exactly where Dimash takes me.
Ren is amazing, his songs are based on his life, harder than Dimash's and Aurora. You can't expect someone who's been through so much to write just happy songs, he helps people talking about mental health, sickness, etc. And I love Dimash (seen him live twice) and Aurora (seen her live once), they are all amazing and touch people in their own way.
@@susannariera that's fine if that's what you like, I'm not judging anyone. I've been through mental health issues myself, my children unfortunately have some serious mental health problems, all I'm saying is that when I listen to music, it's for an escape, I don't want to be dragged back into feeling those things again. As Dimash said, he wants to lead people into a fantasy world, where anything is possible and when I relax with music that's the world I want to put myself in. And just because Dimash chooses to be private about his problems, doesn't mean he doesn't have them. But that's his private life, not a platform for his music.
@@debbiemorgan859 you want fantasy and that's ok, some people want something they can relate to, to feel themselves represented, and that's ok too. Good thing is that we have both of them, so people can choose.
Ahoj. Ren is real, struggled a lot and won the fight, is intelligent, has great lyrics and music, is inventive, original and a lovely human. The same goes for Aurora, just more of the lovelyness :)
Have not seen you in a while and I like your new intro. Too bad you used the Dimash sos video that was autotuned. His 2017 Singer version does not use it.
I know there is pitch correction, but I personally like the way he sings that section - to me it's the most beautiful approach he ever took to that first chorus. The pitch correction is a small detail there for me.
I really like Aurora and Ren but Dimash music is not for me. There are two or three songs I like, S.O.S one of them, but music that is kind of in the style of classical crossover have never appealed to me much. I will rather listen to classical music or pop music, the blend of the two rarely appeal to me. He also has in recent years done music that is more pure pop and I don't find the music interesting. So really for me, it's just his voice that interests me and experiencing his vocal technic. He has the ability to express feelings because of his enormous control over his voice that can do almost everything, but I have to say that I usually don't feel a lot of emotion in his performance. I feel that the vocal technics and the vocal gymnastic drown the emotion. But I know very well that many people have different experience and find that he channels emotion that touch them. For me I would really like that his music and the people he works with would make music that is more interesting. There is usually so little originality in his music. And I want more from music than just admire vocal technics and range. Aurora and Ren are different, they of course write most of their music themselves, and their music is so original and true to who they are. It has substance, interesting approach when it comes to arrangement and soundscape. They bring something new to the table in their music and the music comes first and their voices serve the music, not the other way around. Ren range is over three octaves. That is a lot, but it's not something that is highlighted a lot, because it is secondary and usually he does not show his range in one and the same song, because the song does not call for it. I feel that with Dimash the music is secondary to his voice and serves too much just to show his vocal ability. But he does though have a few songs I like.
I respect your opinion, if you don'tfeel it you don't. But if intersted I highly recommend checking out Dimash's newest song "Angel Love" (or Qaragym Ai or Okinish), I feel his emotions come across the most in his Kazakh songs. Sadly new listeners are often recommended the songs with the biggest shock value but he is so much more than a one trick pony. Aurora is amazing, Ren I need to check out more from but I think he's an artist I can respect and enjoy listening to now and then but not the music I will put in my playlists.
@@tuttasb I have heard Angel love. He of course sings it well and with a feeling. I like hearing the language. The melody is fine but again the sugary, semi-classical, professional but uninteresting arrangement, makes it kind of dull. His music, the approach, is not for me. The feeling I get, is that it lacks realness, grounding. I will rather have something that is not picture perfect but true, real. But again, the genre of classical crossovers in general does not do much for me. Too polished, with too much emphasis on smooth perfection, with little undercurrent. And that is the most important, I feel it lacks depth, just like a pretty picture for decoration. But I realize that this kind of music translates differently to many people. Like for some, death-metal is just unbearable ugly noise but powerful masterful expression of energy for others. Different things penetrate our hearts, we emotionally connect to different things.
@@tuttasb If you want to listen to Ren, I would think that the song you should maybe start with is Chalk Outlines, the Live version. Because the singing is great, lot of emotion. What's interesting, is that it is not pitch corrected and the harmonies between Ren and Chinchilla are not perfect, although they are both great singers and very good when it comes to pitch. The imperfection is allowed to stand because the human emotion is more important and when emotional, we are not perfect, so the imperfection in this case helps heighten the emotion. So not picture perfect, but beautiful sadness and great lyrics.
The majority of Ren's music is singing, he has rap as well. But his story telling has not been matched. Watch Ren's "money game" 1-3 series. The tales of Jenny and screech 13 min. version. He is a master of bard core. He just needs his guitar he strums for music or drum or a tool. He does the same with his voice.
.. dont realy get Ren and Dimash... one with a great vioce the other proably with god textst - Aurora is in another level. She is the total ting. And her lyrics are poems. But we know that males have an advantage over women - also in music. Women listen to male musicans as well as female - males mostly highligts males. The best singer in my view is kd Lang - but Aurora and Susanne Sundfør ( you proably never heard of her) So whos to tell - much bias. Best from Bergen, Norway
@heidifarstadkvalheim4952 I have heard Susanne Sundfør a few times - gorgeous voice, and quite similar to Aurora in some ways I feel. I should explore her work. And of course KD Lang is exceptional. But you're right - there is a bias, which is why they keep filling festivals with far more male acts than female acts. I do think it's starting to change though - I hope so.
Honestly i don't care at all about the other two singers that for me and my tastes are not interesting and not good like some people wrongly think..I care only about my idol and superhero Dimash and i follow and listen only him every day of my life for many hours a day because for me he's the singer and artist, the voice, and the music for excellence..Dimash is all and everything i really need for me,my life,my happiness, and for my heart and my soul, and not only like singer and artist but even more important like person, man, and human being..He's both my drugs and my medicine..And i don't like the videos like this where Dimash wrongly and absurdly is put with another singers..No one other singer on the planet deserve to stay in the same video with the great master and the one and only Dimash..He's a phenomenal genius and the most versatile singer in existence and in history and with his geniality, creativity, and his skills he can do everything he wants and when he wants because he's the singer and artist, the voice, and the music for excellence..No one on the planet can sing like Dimash and no one on the planet can compare and compete with him..And no one on the planet can beat and surpass Dimash because only Dimash can improve, beat, and surpass himself..The Boss King Angel And The Living Legend Dimash
I'm a Dear and I really enjoyed Alexandra's video. She very well explaines how we connects with music and how we react in different ways. What someone finds amazing, what someone feels deep in their soul might make someone else feels nothing but how great artists like these three seems to be able to communicate with their listeners on a different level and create those connections more often than other singers. Even if only one of these three artists speaks to your emotions we can be respectful toward the other two. All these three got a lots of fans, for good reasons even if they don't suit everyone's taste. Right now Dimash is the only artist I'm willing to travel the world to see but that doesn't make other artists bad or make me disrespect other artists or fans. I know some Dears are only able to listen to Dimash and only care about Dimash but I have to say I'm grateful for having a huge variety of music in my life. I've loved music all my life but the 3-5 years prior to discovering Dimash I had almost given up on music. Then DImash came and made me fall in love with music all over again. Because of Dimash I've discovered so many artists and genres I had never listened to before and these days I listen to music all the time - mostly Dimash but also other great singers and bands. I don't only love one artist, I love music.
You just proved to me that there is life on other planets😊. I don't know much about your planet, you don't say which of the many in the universe it is, but here on Earth there are a multitude of different musicians and music. You just have to be open to others and give their music and art a chance. I'm happy for you and your planet but I hope that there isn't just one color, one taste, one dish to eat, one politician, one, one, one, because otherwise your planet wouldn't be particularly rich in species and boring. Try to expand your horizons and give other species from other planets a chance. This is not an attack on Dimash and I will listen to some of his songs, but open the door and let the many colors of life into your world.🎉
Ren is 1st a singer and can perform any genre brilliantly and a rapper second. Ren produces nearly all his music,a fantastic storyteller, a lyrical genius/poet and plays multiple instruments mostly self-taught ❤
You're clearly missing a few more big names from this list. I recommend making a reaction to one of the best vocalists in the world. Meet Diana Ankudinova! Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps. Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice? Comments under the video: "What perfection, it's out of this world, not even to explain how extraordinary her voice is." I had to read all the way to the bottom to find a Diana reference. I rotate between Aurora, Ren and Diana reaction videos. These three pull out emotions from me, often times overwhelming, and I need to see others feel that same way. All beautiful in their own distinct ways.
Yes, her voice is amazing. Does she also write own stuff? That's what touches me so deeply in Aurora's and Ren's music, their own lyrics coming from deep within and transported outwards by their music. And I am also in love with both of their voices.
That's it? He can hit high and low. But more important, he writes music, lyrics sometimes, has many songs about deep things (war, life, death...), can mix different genres like no one else, brings Khazak folk songs to life with new arrangements, mixing traditional instruments with modern ones... It's ok if you don't like his music(it seems that you have listen to very little of it though), but "high notes and that's it?". And I love Aurora, saw her live in Barcelona, and love Ren as well, he lyrics are awsome and his aproach to mental health, sickness etc...I have no words.
@susannariera He can't mix different genres like Ren. No one can! Dimash is a great singer but tonality wise no he just doesn't do it for myself and that's fine.
@@BLIND82 of course it's fine, but saying "high notes and that's it" is not only not true, but also not fair, even if you don't like his music (and, again, I don't think you really know it), he is also a world class musician.

I didn't notice any poor English.
@@ChrisLawton66 oh, thank you, how nice of you!

Crying is good, and men need to cry more. Aurora wrote a song about that called The River.
@@Alexandrasaurus..... It is enough that Dimash makes the audience cry with his singing as he speaks to their hearts and souls❤❤❤❤❤
That was a brilliant piece !! Really enjoyed your pov on these three amazing artists!!
What a great presentation of the three wonderful artists! I am glad we have choices to choose what touches us the most!
I think all of these are equally important and wonderful, and I just love all three of them for what they do
The 3 artists are the best in music industry.they are unique .but i like Dimash voice that i enjoyed listening to all his songs.
The best in the music industry is Eivor, however these others are great also.
Love Aurora and Dimash. Both speak to me in the same way, though they are different.

Great analysis 😊 They are all great and convincing storytellers - as Bob Dylan is ❤ Maybe that is why they are so good at stirring emotions in their listeners. Dimash surely touches my heart and soul ❤️ Aurora is a wonderful singer as well and Ren is probably the best rapper in his genre 🎶
Have a wonderful day ☀️ Love from Denmark 🇩🇰
All 3 of my favourite people in one place - awesome ❤❤❤
All so brilliant & talented. Ren is a sub-species but, I’m convinced of it - he’ll be the Artist of our time, phenomenal human too 😊
💯🔥
I 💯 wholeheartedly agree with you. Ren will be the Artist of our time and for future generations Ren will rise with the music that he leaves behind ❤

DIMASH ❤❤❤
As Brian Eno said in an interview:
The Norwegian singer Aurora, who's one of the most extraordinary people i've met.
Dimash❤❤❤❤❤❤
And by all means, Aurora is not a tiny fairy spirit with funny and corny looks....not at all she is a very wise and creative and powerful woman I very much admire and above all I respect, and of top of it all she shares and spreads all that Love Magic and Goodness she is unique and I was lucky to live in the same epoch she lives and that is a privilege
This was brilliant of you to introduce two new fandoms to an already existing fandom. This was very informative.
Yes .....that is it....the magic of music !
A particularly moving song is his song Monsters, which he sang when it was assumed that his father would soon die
ua-cam.com/video/DTFbGcnl0po/v-deo.html
Or the other song that he sang for his dead child:
The Girl that never was

All great, but I love Dimash most, thanks for your reaction
I absolutely love Dimash, Aurora, Ren, and you. ❤
I am not pretty sure what u mean by gritty or rhymic 🤔 but u might try to watch this performance ua-cam.com/video/Rpj-jKWOa4Y/v-deo.htmlsi=pdcMg-nbckktZHyF
This song is his own composition.

Well well, in my humble opinion Aurora is number 1, been so for the last 8 years.....Ren I found a couple years ago and I was impressed not much in common with Aurora from my point of view and for Dimash I tbhink I found him around the same time I found Aurora, or she found me.....I undertstand and recognize he is very good however I've only listened a couple times with all due respect to our man Dimash and all his followers, I wasn't able to listen anymore cuz I can't stay for too long in his tracks dunno what's going on simply can't definitely not my kind
And I'm going to watch and listen and certainly will try to understand your point of view and I want to let you know that I've only watched your Aurora reactions and I think a cover you did of one of her songs.......so I'm all eyes and ears hope I can bear dear Dimash this time I'll try my best promise
Respect to the other artists. Dimash is absolutely my best❤
Wonderful!
I love them all! ❤
получила огромное удовольствие от вашего с нами общения --- как всегда, впрочем. спасибо!
Thank you so much, Emily - I love Lolli, so you have paid me an absolutely enormous compliment 🥰
I’m a renegade and I’ve heard
One or two Dimash songs.
Fantastic video. I enjoy your style. Liked and subscribed.
Also, your track is 🔥

Thanks for that.❤
God beslutning.😊
Love love love Dimash! The other two not so much! Dimash connects with my heart and mind and soul.
I would argue harder to mask your feelings when singing than when acting (so would agree these artists are all really feeling it). Thanks for the analysis always very good. I’m here for Ren but interesting to hear more about the other two.
They sing with their feelings. They believe what they are singing.
Thanks you Alexandra for your review. Its good to see you again.
New sub, love your channel and you are beautiful. Thank you.
Good point on emotions. Should maybe also mention Laria Fabian, who is also brilliant on this, and who Dimash was inspired by / looking up to.
I subscribed to your channel after watching one video. I’m going to watch a few more videos before I buy the book. Timely too.
Great list of vocal artists. Great layout of concepts. Great content period. Thank you!
Thank you Alexandra ♥️ 😄
Thanks! ❤
I would add Jacob Collier, Dirty Loops and Lawrence the band (check out‘Don’t Lose Sight’) to your list.
I only enjoy Dimash’s music , respect for the others
Interesting video! I really enjoyed it.🇨🇦
If you watch Dimash singing The Story of One Sky sung live at the 2023 Almaty Concert you see his total immersion in the song - desperately imploring the work to work for Peace. The music video shows his pain in this small film.
Cada uno tiene su propio publico y yo tengo mi numero uno....todos los cantantes y bandas tienen sus seguidores desde los malos cantantes......a los que interpretan con exelencia...
good to see you again. this is a nice breakdown and summary. thanks.

Thanks.
I'm curious, have you heard Chenyu Hua? If not, "Fake Monk" is a great place to start.
Member of the ADHD Army present and accounted for!
Very interesting, thank you. I'm a Dear, but don't just blindly love everything Dimash puts out. The overly theatrical/emotional stuff is not for me. (The Singer's "Adagio", for example - no thanks. "Marigolds" - can't stand it.)
Which is, I think, why I'm not connecting with the other two so much.
I would never say Aurora is theatrical. Emotional, yes. And that is (one of the reasons) she attracts me.
You have to listen to more. There’s many that are not sad or depressing.

I know there is pitch correction, but I personally like the way he sings that section - to me it's the most beautiful approach he ever took to that first chorus. The pitch correction is a small detail there for me.
@@Alexandrasaurus thank you for the reply. I still go back to see your video of his ava maria.
I wanted to write almost the same, but you beat me to it. 😂 This is exactly how I feel about these three singers/ musicians. ❤
I like your surfing analogy.
Why are you misrepresenting your opinions as facts?
Уважаемые!!! Спорить об искусстве, в творчестве исполнителей, это по крайней мере не прилично,...это всё равно что сравнивать религии, чья лучше.
This is not an attack on Dimash and I will listen to some of his songs, but open the door and let the many colors of life into your world.🎉
I'll never understand why "rappers" are considered singers.
If you are referring to Ren. Because he is not just a rapper. He is also an amazing singer. He has a huge catalogue.
Rapping isn't singing and most rappers don't sing, but Ren is one of the exceptions - he's an excellent singer. Try "Back on 74/Message in a Bottle.

I had to read all the way to the bottom to find a Diana reference.
Dimash may be able to hit the higher octaves but that's it. Nothing to him. As for Aurora and especially Ren world class musicians!
@@BLIND82Just a stupid and useless opinion of an ignorant that write about Dimash without to know absolutely nothing about Dimash and his work and and who Dimash is and what he's capable of doing..So your useless and irrelevant words about Dimash are just bullshit and rubbish..Anyway ren and aurora has absolutely nothing to do with the great master and the one and only Dimash..The high quality and level of Dimash and his music is totally of another planet and is unmatchable, inimitable, unbeatable, and unsurpassed..This is the truth and this is the reality..And if you don't see and don't accept this thing is just a your problem..The Boss King Angel And The Living Legend Dimash
@@BLIND82And another proof that you don't know who is Dimash and what he's capable of doing Dimash is a phenomenal genius and is the most versatile singer in existence and in history and he can sing every song in every genre and style he wants and when he wants because with his geniality, creativity, and his skills he can do everything he wants..Who like you think and write that Dimash is just vocal range and high notes and that he's not able and capable to transmit emotions is totally wrong and also stupid because the truth is totally the contrary..Are just idiotic and irrelevant words of who is a miserable and frustrated hater of Dimash..Your ren has absolutely nothing to do with the great master and the one and only Dimash..The Boss King Angel And The Living Legend Dimash
