I run -1.97 #8 resistor during the winter (rattle box) and -0.85 #8 in AZ summers, Normal rattle, but much cooler EGT and ECT. Our cooler months are by far a better running truck. 97 C3500 CCLB
My Crank sensor was bad the other day so I changed it. Had -50 before relearning but after relearning i got -1.46 and it ran like i had 50hp 🤣 how come you can have a good running truck with -1.97??
I have no clue why yours runs like dookie, and mine doesn't. I live in Phoenix, I have a built injection pump, super 60 turbo, studs girdled, roller rockers, marine injectors, and a tune!! @@Martin.H98
What would cause my 2000 3500 to quit running after putting new rings on the solenoid that's on the injector pump in the middle of the fuel lines. It won't even try to start at all even tried starting fluid still nothing.
Wish i could find someone here in alabama that knows how to work on my 2000 c3500hd 6.5 turbo. Cant find a shop that knows what they are doing. They wanna charge you out the ass, but cant tell you whats wrong with you’r vehicle. Haft the time i know more than they do, and they are the so called experts.
In the opening of your video your truck is smoking out the dipstick is that a bad thing my 6.2 does the same but with alot more smoke forgive me I'm new to diesels and American vehicles 🙏
I don't know how to say this ...our hands are twins..... Hopefully I can teach mine like yours... I'm sporting my first turbo diesel 6.5 GMC Sierra 1994
With engine above 170 ⁰So i Clear all codes. Turn key on push pedal down for 45 seconds let up on pedal turn key off 30 seconds then Start motor . Took it for a drive And it still says 0 offset timing actual timing is over 15 and desired is 8.4. Do I need to take it to a shop to have the computer reset. Or will this program do it. I know that 15 should be down to more like 3.5
What size resistor did you use to fool the ECT for 176 deg to the PCM. I am in cold area and cannot get my truck warm enough to set TDCO relearn because the offset is to far out of wack and truck shuts off at 170 deg and will not start until cool. Not easy to do on a zero day working outdoors.
Should be able to find them at any local parts store. There are 2. One is on the drivers side head and feeds the gauge cluster. The other is on the thermostat housing and feeds the computer
@@DCMotorsports my bad boss what I meant to say is where could I buy the resistor for the coolant temp sensor. Also I’m having trouble setting the the fuel injection pump on time I just replaced it and I can get my truck to start but I can’t seem to get in on time could you give me any advice
Wish I could make the KOS event, maybe next time as it's a bit of a drive. Noticed that thing spins right over at start up. Do you have the Power Master starter? Truck sounds great! Hope Courtland's ready.
JREACHER1954 thanks man and its an 8 hr drive for us to KOS and its a stock starter. Although i do have a power master starter thats going in at somepoint
I have a 94 3500 and I need all the help I can get on it let me know your hourly prices please because it really looks like you know what you are doing
At the moment Dont know any for sale local. And this dually is getting parted out and cut up. The frame is shot. But motor and the rest of the good parts are going into my crew cab
6:34 .. is that line kinked?

Thanks Man, sure appreciate this.
Ping pong eh, great sport, play Son much as can
i installed a fluid damper years ago and i believe it has helped the life of the engine truck runs much smoother over all
So far it seems to have helped with vibration through the rpms
Awesome glad i found your channel! I enjoy 6.5td videos! Thanks for posting
No problem thanks for joining the Channel

Yeah that means your rings are going. Its blow by getting past them
Making my engine bulletproof as I keep an eye on the oil level

How does the fluid damper actually work
Will that gmtdscan software work on obdii trucks? I would like to check my truck and my 4wd is setting codes I’d like to check.
No its just works with obd1
It’s 170 degrees before you can set timing
Michael Ellis i was close lol. Im pretty sure my resistor tells the truck 176 if i remember

I got that same program for my 1995 k3500 and my offset shows 0 after I did the reset (key on peddle down ect...) how do I get an offset.
So the truck need to be atleast 170* for the engine coolant temperature. Then you can go into the program and do the TDCO and timing relearn
Have you done a video of that.
No but its on the list of videos

Im not sure what resistor it is. its from Quadstar Tuning he sells it
Thanks for getting back to me and keep the videos coming.
@@waynetuuk7599 no problem and will do!
What kind of lap top will support the software and what is the name of the software to use on my 96 6.5? Thank you Joe in Vermont
Any windows laptop will run the software. And it only works on 94-95 trucks 96+ u need a snap on or tech 2 scanner.
@@DCMotorsports Thanks I love your video Ty

Good stuff, I noticed GMTDScan tech software works only on 1994-5, is there any software out there for 96+ 6.5 trucks??
Yup GMTD 94-95 i used my Tech 2 for 96+ trucks. You can also use the Torque Shift app with Bluetooth adapter for android.
@@DCMotorsports which tech 2 and Bluetooth adapter do you use?
I dont have an android so i dont use the Bluetooth adapter. But i know a few guys do. And its an older Tech2 from a dealer
Grasias por toda la info que das
Hola if there's any other way for me to set the time with no computer
No u need a computer or scan toll to set the timing
Which tool to remove injector lines?
Just a 3/4 wrench 19 mm
