Have to agree. I think this solo is another outtake of Doug’s. It has a few of his signature runs in it, but I think they made the right choice the first time around.
Welcome to Whitesnake light.. An over processed version trying to be clever in the mids and ruined an original rock song with a masterpiece solo.. Such a shame as the original was probably one of the best classic rock songs to come out in a while.
