I seen someone build this on our pve server. He painted it all black. It looks absolutely amazing. Now I know where he got the idea. Great job on turning this raft into a masterpiece. I want one now to park at my waterbase.
honestly i was REALLY hoping the devs would implement a steeringwheel that when placed on rafts (or platform saddles ideally) lets you control it from the steering wheel
Nice build! Remade it myself for ferrying to and from the islands, serves pretty well. One adaptation I want to add, leave one side with a ladder, put a wooden ramp on the other. This lets you have a way for land dinos to get aboard easily, even something as large as a rex can be transported on this with a ramp added.
Simple, functional, takes advantage of the base raft sail & pontoon aesthetics and most importantly, looks real good while sailing. Thank you for posting this. My prior raft was just a boring platform.
Nicely done. I wanted an explorer ship to also carry a couple of dinos. I looked at a couple of YT videos and yours stuck out to me. I did make mine a bit larger by placing the foundations a little differently, but it basically just looks like a slightly bigger brother to yours. I had to use wood ladders since I don't have retracted ones (element tree?). I also put rope ladders and railings on the upper platform to have a "crow's nest".

I can’t wait to recreate my metal cargo ship base. It was so amazing! It had everything a base needed. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye but also practical. Well done. I might make a small ship like this when I start off on my adventure ☺️✌️❤️
@@argonwolf5174 crap, i used to build boat bases mostly because they allow for more freedom and practicality. I had a 4 floor giant ship built that looked like a cruise ship, it had everything and it was my main base, I didn't even bother building a land base. But today my server owner added improved rafts mod, so maybe it allows for better building. I tried to build a pirate ship but ended up having to cut the nose because of the distance 😒
If you start a little further back you can get 3 foundations and still get the there's of the ship making it a bit longer a shame there's a build limit cause I wanted to make a underthe deck part of boat
@@FrigidNinja78 You haven't played current ATLAS, invalid opinion. Even more when WildCard removed the speed lvling option, which was originally from ATLAS. Ships in ATLAS are actually good, as you go to a different "space" as soon as you get in one of those, meaning that you don't glitch if you jump or run (the glider is an exception). The main issue with ATLAS currently is the amount of patience you need to have.

I have a problem with Snapping as in your video, I noticed that Snapping is enabled and it allows you to build as you like, I followed a prototype like you but the problem happened to me it doesn't allow it. put a flag (fake sail) like yours and I see Disable Snapping appear and can't turn it on, please tell me how to turn it on pls!
For anyone wondering, don't try and make this design bigger. Lol I wanted to make 3 wide, instead of 2, and the extra resources made it hit the build limit.
Had to build this base myself since people like to pillar the whole map. Kinda sucked to have to start the game like that glad I have a mobile base if needed down the line

@@diesel4ever273 nope, the structure limit is smaller too. I used to have a good base on ASE but ASA has less options for raft building.

Can this be built in Ark Survival Evolved or just Ascended?
There’s no ‘Wood Quarter Ceilings’ on Evolved, so only for Ascended.
Are we not able to snap below thatch ceilings anymore?

Make sure you're not covering the area near the rudder. There's a reason he let that one side empty in the build.
i cant seem to find the triangle ceiling, even when pressing R on regular wood ceiling, and it says its unlocked....am i missing something?
because it's associate with quarter ceiling and not simple ceiling
