Jami, you don't need a silo; you can do your own thing! As you were walking around looking at things, all I was thinking was that Stephanie could do a lot of those things! You are very handy and I'm sure you could take inspiration from there and do your own wonderful thing! Glad you could get away and get recharged!❤

I always wanted to see Chip and Joanna’s silo. It’s cute to hear some sweet, romantic things that Lester has done. That’s really Longhorn Lesterish! What a wonderful trip to Waco. Thanks for sharing with us!

Joanna Gaines did an excellent job in saving the Silos and revitalizing that piece of property. I think Kim could really help you in finding an old cabinet. I used to love the card catalog in the school library. All the little drawers. As for designing the beds around the greenhouse, Tracy Britnell at Just Dig It Farms helped Jason at Cog Hill design his groves and French Parterre. garden.

Thank you so much for the Magnolia Farms. That will be the closest I’ll ever get to seeing it. I use to watch their program and remember when they first introduced the silos and their dreams of what the area could become. Thank you again for sharing. I love that kinds of old furniture. Older the better. 🥰

OMG! Poor Lester are you serious. I am 63 yrs old and he cries like a baby. If Lester wanted to do something he would do it, bad knee or not. Lester actually reminds me of my younger brother, they are actually same age. I think terrible that Lester can’t take the time to spend with Jamie doing thing she enjoys.

He’s there isn’t he. Obviously Grateful soul. you are lacking empathy. How sad to be so sour. Obviously someone hurt you years ago and you project it on to other people by feeling no empathy, because someone either showed you none or hurt you . Being hard hearted is rather sad. So sorry you’ve dealt with harder people that made you say things like that . Certainly not acting Grateful to Lester. Weather is changing and things get to hurting. Just because you suck it up . Doesn’t mean others can or want to. Doesn’t make their pain any less

Good morning Jami and Lester. Wow if someone had the time you could occupy yourself for hours amongst all the nicknacks, pottery, dishware, so much to look at. I am surprised you didn't pick up some of those flower seeds they looked very interesting. Lester was gracious enough to take you there and even though he didn't want to shop didn't give you a hard time for all the looking around that you did. That was a beautiful story you told about the receipts of where you would go to eat and he would put the Lester loves Jami hearts. Sometimes the things he says and does can surprise a person, you can see he can be romantic but you mostly see the comedic side of him. Need to butter him up more Jami. Thank you very much for taking us on your Magnolia Silos trip and Waco hope you can go again in the new year. Have a great day.

They are getting taken care of so don't worry about stupid comments like that. You both do you. I also name my 30+ house plants, outside plants and trees. 😊 also you can make like a flower garden in the old trunk, that would looks pretty instead of an eye sore, make it beautiful full of perriannal flowers or morning glorys or Jasmine, something that takes over and less keeps, but comes back every yr. So happy that you and Lester had a date day; yes, so many lovely things to acquire as you are young. This year at 71, I am actively giving away items as I will need to move into a one-bedroom senior apartment. Have stuff in the house, basement and garage. I pick up something as ask myself: Do I love this; do I need this; does it add value to my life? Sadly, many items don't pass the questions and get posted to Buy Nothing in my community and so happy that my young neighbors have some new to them things. I would rather the items be used than end up in a thrift store or the store's dumpster. Take care and thank you for giving us so much joy as you share your life with us.

Jami, that "plant stand" looks to be a repurposed hanging birdcage stand. Great idea for a plant and you can find them for a decent price!

Hi Jami, the huge storage piece is from an old fashioned Apothecary. The piece with lots of shallow drawers is an old fashioned file system used before the current file cabinet design was available.

I would be in my element there. My husband would be doing the Lester. Like him, he wants to make me happy, but….. we haven’t traveled much, maybe after my other knee gets fixed, but….if you ever go to Michigan, check out the Ford museum; it, too is amazing. Our daughter also took us to a “ village “ Ford made. He literally moved historical residences there. Like Webster and Edison’s homes, and so many more. Antique fords drive you thru, horse and buggies. Demonstrations of pottery making, etc. The old machines were amazing and operational. It’s a lot of walking, I wish I could go at Christmas because I can’t imagine walking through an old time Christmas. I’m not amazed at a lot, but these were so impressive. Oh, and there are some shops 😉

Jamie you could get a a couple of lg feeders for the animals, maybe the longhorns feed, goat feed, etc. paint them antique and make them look like silos. Then they would be functional and less driving back and forth for food. Plus extra room in the barn?? Just a thought.💭🤔☮️💖🙏

Jami everyone needs to take a break from either a 9 to 5 job or a farm job, if not your gonna get burnt out and then the Kids/Animals suffer. Thanks for showing Chip and Joannas place I would never been able to experience it otherwise, you and Lester enjoy your mini vacay and be safe. ❤

I remember watching Joanne & Chip when they first started fixer upper before they had their farmhouse, way before their last child! When she took the family to see the silos, Chip at first thought it was crazy but Joanne saw the vision. Now their own TV network, restaurant & the Silos have made Waco a tourist stop! They did well & still doing fixer uppers! ( probably with a lot bigger team!) Great place to do a video, Jamie! 🤗❤️

😮thank you for taking me through the silos. Like so many others I watched Chip and Johanna turn it into something special. The storage thing you thought was from a hardware store is what nails were displayed in. The cabinet with all the drawers was used in newspaper printing shops. The drawers had different letters a day numbers that were picked out to set the print.😊

Thank you for the tour of the silos. My favorite place there was the old church. On my trip to Germany we saw several churches and castles. This trip included Paris, the beautiful Notre Dame, I cried when it caught fire. We saw the gardens behind Versailles. I will never forget this trip..❤

I love that plant stand too!!! We all have to swamp Lester’s feed to let him know. I have a feeling he has watched your video and knows what you want but it doesn’t hurt to drive the point in. You need to plan a trip with your new camper or a long road trip with Stephanie and look for antiques. I think Stephanie would have a ball!! The older furniture was done so much better and with pride and top materials compared to furniture today that you could carry out to the truck yourself. If you haven’t been, you should go to the Biltmore House in NC in the spring/early summer. The gardens are amazing!!! Oh yea, there’s a house to tour. I hope y’all made it home without any problems and that Lester had a little fun. ❤❤❤
