    It's getting to be the same here in the UK. The rich get richer and the poor have to help themselves to survive. One day they will say enough is enough and do something about it. It was food shortages that led to the French revolution and also started the Russian revolution.

    • @francismarion6400
      @francismarion6400 Рік тому

      Yeah well thanks to the Socialists all the Russian farmers were blamed and then executed so then people really began to starve because no one was left to farm. Been like this for a while in Cuba where everything is government property and there is no incentive to bust your but and grow more than you can consume. Even then the government will come take what you have.

    Honestly, in America, with how much supermarkets and the like throw away, there shouldn't be people hungry. If it's legal in your state, dumpster dive. I understand if a product is recalled, but if not, these foods be having an expiration date in like a month to like 2 or 3 years from now.

FOOD BANKS are for people that are going hungry, and have little to no income!!!!!!!! Stop eating expensive foods fools! Please explain to those of us who scrimp and do without to get by why many of these food bank recipients drive late model cars, have professionally manicured nails, sport designer purses, and have expensive cellphones. In our town some food bank regulars have been getting free food since they moved into town----8+ years now. These same individuals eat daily at the local soup kitchen and complain because it's closed on Sat/Sun. As one woman told the local paper, "That's inconvenient for me because I have to cook and I don't like to cook." Yes, there are people who are in real need of food banks, but there are also plenty of others who are at the front of the line to get anything for free. That's the sad commentary on American life today.

      I would rather we feed everyone at the risk of feeding people who don't need it than turn away one person who hasn't had a meal in three days but hasn't sold their car.

    • @yellowbird5411
      @yellowbird5411 Рік тому +3

      I believe that the mile-long line of new cars coming to load up on free food would disappear overnight, if that food were turned into hot meals on-site. Many come anonymously, pull into line, pop the trunk, load up and drive away. If these same people came and had to get out of their car, come through a food line and either sit down and eat or take the food in a container with them, they would be far less likely to come. The loads of food these banks give out to one person come to retail amounts of $100-$200 at a pop and more. This is our "no shaming" culture where anything goes, and we'll pretend we don't see the abuse of our systems which take away from the most truly needy. If we had multiple hot food sites throughout an area, there would be a better distribution, in my opinion. They could feed people daily one hot meal. In India, they do this, and feed thousands at each site. They focus on vegetables, grains, fruits and nuts, as most of them are vegetarian.

If you are allowed, get some rabbits. 3 does and a buck will keep you in plenty of meat.[some of the cheapest meat you can raise] A few hens will supply you with enough eggs for your family. Yeah, some media outlet ran a story about more people turning to food banks at the start of this. One recipient in line was driving a new BMW. It's not food insecurity. It's not poverty. It's miserly people taking advantage of the situation. You can bet more food banks are going to be driven out and people that really need them will be the ones suffering so some penny pincher can save a few bucks.

    Reduce the amount of food you consume. You're all still overweight and fat with health problems caused by obesity always overeating and gorging on unhealthy habits. In other countries that are less fortunate than the United States and others that do not have food banks, most people skip a meal and reduce the calories they consume by only eating twice a day without snack breaks. A lot of them lose 20 lbs to 30 lbs of their total body weight. Ever notice that? Look in the mirror before complaining.

    I wish interviewers wouldn't put words into people's responses. They are led to say or agree to certain things, and the person being interviewed doesn't want to disagree with what the interviewer is saying. Don't suggest responses to those being interviewed, as it becomes clear that there is an agenda behind the interview. Many people who come and help themselves can well afford to buy food at the stores, but why look a gift horse in the mouth?
