My sister allowed that from her bf for over 10 years and created a bad habit they have a daughter now and he still can’t give them a home. She recently got laid off and instead of being a man and supporting her he quit his job because “he didn’t like it” if you choose to stay just set boundaries because then you will enable bad behaviors.

After proposal, I tricked my now husband- on the way to the gym, we ended up at the courthouse, got married (in our gym clothes) and planned our wedding 6 months after that. Mine was quick! Together 11yrs, married 6yrs this year 😊

I’ve been with my fiancé for 15 years. 13 years BF and 2 years engaged and honestly I’m enjoying my engagement, it’s a new era that I’m enjoying and also because I was in law school and studying for the bar so he’s allowing me to close that chapter of my life first and respects that and we both agree that the wedding will come once that happens. We all have different situations and that’s okay.

I was with my now husband for 15 years one child , first home purchase before we got married. Relationship was not perfect we ran into bumbs and trenches but we hung in there . If you still want to marry someone after 10plus years then you are definitely investing and in for sure . Tha hardest part of a relationship is the first 5-10 years . We have been together now for 22 years, with a 15 year old and a 2 year old child .

It is hard to not give the person that cheated a chance again when you’re in love. It is a decision that sometimes we make and then we realize that we can’t get pass what they did to us and the pain they once caused. I personally walked away from mine and chose to end things because I couldn’t forgive and forget that haunted me especially when he got her pregnant. So I see both sides unless you are walking in those shoes you will never know.

My husband and I are high school sweet hearts. He proposed at our ten year anniversary. He states he wanted to graduate college and wanted to have a career before proposing bc he felt he did not have nothing to offer me. Surely, right after college he got a good job and proposed. We did a small wedding ceremony the year after and are currently saving money for a house. I think my husband took a long time but he had a vision. Money for sure was a reason and stability.

In regards to the prenup, I believe if you are going to do it, it should be when you are most in love. Everyone is in their right mind at the moment. Prenups are for people that have money and get married but want to be ready, in case, God forbid there is a divorce. Makes things easier to divide. Everyone goes into marriage thinking you are always going to be together, and that is the goal, but sometimes things and faults happen that no one sees coming in the beginning.

27:50 i agree Sebastian! there should be no timeline to get married and all factors are different to each couple but I feel like don’t rush it and let it happen organically otherwise you’ll be waiting for ever and what if it never happens and you let yourself down bc that’s what you were expecting. Communication is key.
