Good to see some Sask fishing guides. I’m looking to get my hands on the 2600 escape this year but now I might look at the 2400 a little more
Not a guide just like doing videos and documenting outdoor stuff! Ya the 2600 isn't that much bigger but depends what your looking for they are great flip overs! Thanks for watching!
Nice little portable flip over, great review! Best of luck with your Moose hunt as well. Would love to see you going for massive Perch in Oak Lake or Pelican Lake MB. at some point. Good idea having a bench, more companies should do this in my opinion. I bet someone comes up with a bunk system so you can overnight on the ice. Can't wait to see the modifications that happen to this flip over. Good luck this season, looks like your pup is ready for the ice too!!
Thanks for the support and watching! I actually ended up getting a moose I have part two moose video up finally! Im actually going to get out ice fishing this week for walleye with mega live and then maybe get to Lake of the Prairies this weekend but yes want to get to Oak Lake for BIG perch there!
Just the video I was looking for!! Thanks for this man! Does the 20lb propane tank and your the electronics, auger and heater all fit in the back after it is folded up? Guess I am wondering if you have any concerns about the space in this smaller sled, let me know what you think. Thanks a lot man!! Great video!!!
Yep I put my tank in a milk crate and buddy heater in back then electronics and other gear under bench if I'm walking. If I'm pulling behind sled I put electronics on the back of my snowmobile in a box. I have never had to make two trips though with this flip over! Thanks for watching
@DB Fishing righton man!! Thanks a lot. I just bought an old snowmobile...so I think this might have to be my next purchase!
How’s the flipover doing? Since getting it have you had any issues with the locking mechanisms for the poles sliding in or any issues with the flipover at all? Anything you’d change/improve?
It has been great so far! I find myself fishing out of it more than my pop up. No issues with sliding locks or anything and I’ve been pulling it behind snowmobile lots. Only thing I find annoying is getting the cover on you really gotta make sure the material or flaps get tucked in, so guess I would like to see a better cover of some sort. Really happy with it so far and lots of room I’ve filmed several videos out of it and no issues for square footage.
Thanks for the video. You just helped make up my mind. On which one I wanted . I like the bench.
Glad it helped you out! Yes the bench can be great for some extra seating room! It has come in handy for me! Thanks for watching!
Thats an awesome tent! Love these styles
Yes they're great! Especially if your not with a big group and want to move around and catch more fish!
How comfy is the bench for a day of fishing? I really like the bench option like you were saying, just wondering how it is on the back?
Bench is pretty comfy actually. Spent quite a few full days on it never had any issues!
Thank you for the detailed review, very helpful!!
How’s the flipover doing? Since last year have you had any issues with the locking mechanisms for the poles sliding in or any issues with the flipover at all? Anything you’d change/improve?
do you think it’ll fit in a sedan? I’m looking at one for 300 on marketplace and I’m not sure if I wanna pull the trigger. I’ve also heard complaints about putting it together, did you have any issues?
I would use the measurements of it from my video and just check your sedan. I would just wonder about length more than anything. It’s not hard to setup just takes awhile! It’s a great flip over though.
Great review. How much clearance do you have under your tonneau and the bed of your truck? I have 19” and they spec it as needing 22”!
Hey thanks! My clearance on my truck from the bed to cover is 20" but it's not a solid cover.
@@navert1 that’s great did it work for your truck? Hopefully you enjoy it and glad the video helped!
@@DB-FISHING It wont fit as assembled so I pulled the bolts on the backrest and it fits! Not hard to reinsert the bolts when setting up.
@@navert1 yep I’ve heard of guys doing that and buy some quick pins use instead of the bolts so it’s even quicker!
great review ! I have just the 1 man eskimo flipover will that tow bar work for all sizes buddy ?
I have the Eskimo universal hitch and it adjusts down to 19" width so I'm sure it would work! Thanks for watching!
Hi great review, I’m interested in getting one of these! I see in the thumbnail picture is it hooked to your snowmobile with a box? You should do review of that setup I’m interested in this design but hard to see with just that picture thanks.😁
Thanks, hope it helps in your decision with getting one. Yes I hook the flip over to the snowmobile with that solid hitch. I have a Plano box mounted on the back for electronics and valuables and rod holders attached to the box. Maybe in future I will do a video on my snowmobile I'm currently getting auger mount installed.
Sounds awesome. I hope you do one I’m interested in looking at that box with rod holder…looks interesting 🤔👍🏻
is your truck a 5.5ft short box?
No my box is like 6.75’ I believe so lots of room for length. But my friend has a short box doge and his 2600 just fits slam tailgate so a 2400 would fit.
Does the first bar to lay down stick out past the sled side by about 8”
Does it come with runners on the sled, do you use them?
I forgot to mention runners! You have to buy them separately and last year at the end of year we're sold out. I have to put them on mine to help save the sled it's a good idea!
Lost me w the bench seat
It depends what your looking for but it doesn't limit me to only two people. Like I said I usually have my wife and dog with me so works well for me! Also if you had a couple smaller kids you can fit them on the bench seat
Hey man. Great video. What cover did you end up getting? Was it the 60"? Can you drop a link?
Hey thank you! No actually I got the 64" Apex Eskimo cover it fits snug enough and works great! www.stillwateradventures.ca/products/edb8a44b28/2692975000000348481?variant=2692975000000348469 hope this link works for information.
Thanks for the details on your shelter and perspective. I’m leaning towards the 2400 now because of your video.
Thanks I'm glad you liked it and i appreciate the feedback! 👍🏼
