- During David Garrett's trip to Cremona, we had the pleasure to have his visit at our workshop. Besides being a follower of our work he asked us to play on our instruments, and we couldn't be any happier!
In this video, you'll see him playing on three of our 'del Gesù' copies and signing #ilcannonegiramondo. Let us know if you also have a preferred model as he did!

Giramondo = globetrotter - yes, this violin will literally travel around the world! This time not for concerts, but to collect the signature of the most sought-after violinists of today!
With the help of these fantastic musicians, we want to bring awareness to a social cause. This cause deserves our attention and needs our support to keep transforming the lives of many vulnerable kids and teenagers from Brazil. They live in favelas, where people lack access to basic needs and socioeconomic services, in a reality where music is not even a choice for their lives. But Instituto Baccarelli changes that through the educational power of art and contributes to social development and offers students the opportunity for musical professionalization.
The Institute is in constant need of support and donations, but now with the pandemic, this is even more urgent since a significant part of the resources are being redirected to acquiring food for the families.
Il Cannone Giramondo, after signed, will be auctioned, and all of its profit will be donated to Instituto Baccarelli. We will keep you posted on the journey of this violin throughout this year! 8:03 - Garrett was *really* hacking away at the violin there, but I reckon that a genuine Del Gesu handles like that, and in time, the reproduction will "learn" how to handle that bow pressure. I've only had the privilege of playing on two Strads and yes: the bow speed has to be a bit faster and a little lighter than what you'd supposedly play on a Del Gesu. Apparently you can really dig into the string of a Del Gesu. I'd love to play one.

Quel bonheur de voir David dans sa vie "de tous les jours". On constate son sérieux quand il teste ces violons prestigieux et la pertinence de ses avis. Si on ajoute son look si caractéristique et qui ne peut convenir qu à lui, on obtient le maestro unique qu il est . J ai pour lui une admiration sans bornes.
Tout à fait d'accord avec vous..même sur son look...j'ai un peu critique son pantalon..dommage..il est si beau..pourquoi ce genre de pantalon sans forme.. mais cela n'enlève rien à son talent..on l'aime de toute façon. 🤗🙏🌹

@@danielemistrorigo9487 je pense qu il a tout à fait conscience de ses talents et de son charme. Il a adopté un style et il s y tient. J ai lu une interview où il affirme que les gens qui le jugent (défavorablement )sur ses vêtements ne l intéressent pas. Ce qui est la preuve d une grande confiance en soi et d une grande liberté. Mais il y a sans doute un aspect " marketing" dans tout ce qu il est . Quoi qu il en soit chez lui " il n y a rien à jeter".

We mostly liked the 3rd, but his choice suprised me also... He feels things we can't... like response.. but it could also be the piece he plays on each which make our ears rejoice and not be objective. Beautiful all of them.... regardless, ... who am I to say anything. 🤗

Мини-концерт, да какой! Ощущение такое, что музыка уже живёт в пальцах,
её и вспоминать не надо. А ведь сыгранные кусочки далеко не самые
простенькие. Одного я идентифицировать не сумела. Вроде Крейслер, но не
уверена. Подскажите, кто узнал. Сарабанда круто звучит в этой акустике.
Чайковский тоже хорош. Ну а Брух согрел душу до самых глубин. Любимейший
концерт именно в Дэвидовом исполнении.

Hello from Canada! I can tell you that the 3 violins are replicas of the originals.
The one on the left is 15 months old, the second one is 5 months old and the
