FIGHTER JETS SOARING THROUGH A RAIN-SOAKED MACH LOOP - 4K

- To say the weather hasn’t been to kind in the Mach Loop lately would be an understatement. With summer out of the way and winter looming it has been a good start to the hardening up process for the months ahead. I’ve included a few different locations in this video with a variety of fast jets including F-15 Strike Eagles out of RAF Lakenheath, Eurofighter Typhoons from RAF Coningsby and BAE systems Hawk T-2s from RAF Valley. Amongst the mix are some Texan T-6 from RAF Valley and a rare visitor these days being a CH-47 Chinook out of RAF Odiham.

Many light years ago I was in the USAF, and my apartment was location directly in line with the base flight line. One year they held an air show, and while I was at home relaxing, I kept hearing jets roar directly over my roof. Finally I decided to stand in the doorway and wait for another to fly by. To my great surprise, I saw an F-16 fly inverted about 150 feet above me! It was one of the Thunderbirds team. It was incredible!
Many light years ago I was driving a 18 wheeler through Missouri on the interstate when I get this call on the CB Radio from the driver behind me who told me to look out my right window. As I did I saw an F-16 coming straight at me only 25 feet off the ground. Just before he almost hit me he applied the brakes and went full vertical with the afterburner on. I saw the whole underside of that bird coming as it blasted off the top of my rig. The whole truck shook for a few seconds and I could smell the burnt jet fuel as I almost let out a little pee. If there was any dirt on top of my trailer, it was clean after that.
The F-15 is still a badass airframe!

Did they film a scene from Highlander here? I know there's a scene where they're sitting on hills like this, and a jet flies by. (The jet shows that it's not a flashback to ancient times.)
