Agree 1billion%!!!! One of my favorite short programs of anyone ever. Cool to see it side-by-side. I think the Worlds 2019 is a teeny bit better "on the beat" by a few seconds, vs 2018. Every detail finessed. Thanks for sharing!
I would soo much rather watch this then someone quadding and falling or landing wobbly. I think its time to bring the value of a quad down, yes its harder to do, but a wobbly 4F shouldn't outscore a great 3F for example. When quads are well done they can be amazing, but its not as common as it should be for them to be well done.
Without a quad he really gives them a run for their money on points. His movements seem way more relaxed by 2019 I think because he is more confident in the movements. He had been rehearsing quite a bit on it by then.
Love both performances however I like the 2019 Worlds performance better mainly because he has more musicality throughout the entire routine. He was one with the music, had more emphasis on interpretiing the movements through the music rather than just doing the elements. He also skated more 'on top' of the music instead of slightly behind or ahead of it. He also took advantage of the little nuances in the music by not being so over the top with his hands or facial expression. I like this new version of Jason. He's much more refreshing to watch without the 'cheesy' facial gymnastics and over done hands. Can't wait to see what he has in store for this coming season. :)
