It's funny, I'm much older than Roger, 54 years old, yet I feel like I "grew up" watching him and Rafa and Nole. ;)
and murray
and murray
And Muzza
You're not incorrect! Im 55 and, though we may not hv been young children when he burst onto the scene in '03, we still "grew along with" Roger in his development and during his whole career. So, in that sense, a part of us also went through the beginning and ending of the journey as well. Both Roger and Tom Brady's career virtually ran along parallel tracks so that, when both retired less than a year apart from each other, I felt a part of myself dying as well. So often it is said that, you don't know life is happening to you until it's gone. What a ride it was!
@@edkiely2712 As a Swiss I was a Roger fan all my life, and when he semi-retired in 2021 I thought I was never going to watch tennis again. Then I heard about this new wonderkid the Spaniards have, watched him play Nadal in IW 2022, never missed a match of his ever since. Alcaraz really brought me back to watch tennis again, for me Alcaraz is the successor of Federer.
Miss you Roger 😢
Total class.
Such a class act as always . This world needs more people like that.
You weren't around for early Roger lol he'd be the first to admit that, but yes he's an amazing person and my fav player to watch ever
What? More establishment bootlickers? 😆
Back handed compliment of the year 2024

So true he's a great example...

He’s a wonderful commentator. I could listen to him for hours.
I miss watching Federer play
I play the tennis so beautiful
agree
Most of all I miss the beauty of Roger's game. His shot-making seemed so natural and, yes, effortless-where with others it feels like they're producing practiced shots.
This guy is class personified!
I see Roger, I click instantly 😅
Me, too! 😊👍🤩
I interacted with him several times and he is just a centered, humble, and kind person. Continued success!!!

Born to play grass. When he started the serve and volley game was just winding down. The grass around the net was worn. Miss that part of the game but Roger carried on with his aggressive style. My favourite of the great champs.
born to play tennis! surface dont matter
Roger you still be the best together with Nole and Rafa. You are all three legends for the history of tennis. Nobody can take all of your three big preforms and records❤

so much respect between Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray, such a shame some fans are so insistent on toxicity.
Nadal doesn't have so much respect for Djokovic ever since Djokovic passed him in stats. In recent interview for Spanish TV, Nadal said that he plays for the love of tennis, and Djokovic is only chasing the stats.
I miss Roger. He is so unique so handsome and just such a gem.💎
‘You need to work hard but also have some fun on the side’ - Roger Federer 👍
What a guy. Love watching him play and could listen to him talk for hours.
Iconic Roger.
Tennis is simply not the same without him. That's no reflection on the current players, it's just that he was so special with his style, drive and just the way he was so respectful of his sport. Always the GOAT for me.
I love him so much, Federer and Sharapova made me love Tennis, always follow them since Sharapova won Wimbledon in 2004
Dearest Roger FEDERER,
Thank you so much for your everything! The whole world misses you so much. It is really amazing to watch you on the TVs and personal interviews. You have plainly clarified the reasonable statements and remarks concerning the evolution of the young generation and other players. It is utterly an ideal approach from Roger in terms of the process and movement of 2024 season.
I hope every graduate received a transcript of your speech...as a fan throughout your career I have been astounded, by your compassion and just your being an Awesome Gentleman ❤❤❤...

We miss you Roger! Truly one of a kind and as much as we were all sad to see you leave the court you deserve to be able to enjoy your life and have more time for your family. :)
King Federer!
God I love this guy
the big 4 never existed. The big 3 and that's it. Andy won 3 GS, the others have 20 minimum, that's not a big 4. it s a miniscule 4th in comparison
Stan Wawrinka was better than Murray as well. Peak Stan was up there with the big 3, he just couldn't maintain it.
The crazy thing is that Alcaraz has as many slams as Murray and he is only 21 years old.
@@Aneeshtheraveif Alcaraz gets to 10 GS before 28 he can get 20+ at the end of his career
Roger Federer❤
Roger, you are the true goat. Maybe not statistcally, but in every other way. The best and most talented man to ever play the game. Every match you play is a thriller. Shot making second to none. There will never be another. The undisputed non-statistical GOAT!

The Legend .
I think only Brits say there is big 4 😂 only 3 players are over 20+ in grand slams and they played in same era, u can’t put Murray in the same box as Rafa, Roger and Novak
I think secretly Federer wants Alcaraz or Sinner to do win more. So there is less of a gap between Djkovic and himself
Well they are a new generation I think he knows eventually the older boys will have to retire and won’t achieve the same success as they did previously…
Not true he said in an interview a week ago he wants novak to win
The Maestro ❤❤❤ love you Roger!!! 😊
These English media never fail to mention big "Four", as if murra is anywhere even close.
🐐🐐🐐
Come on ESPN. Up your coverage of tennis. It's only the largest individual sport in the world.
You might as well say big 5 then with Stan...
But it's always been the big 3 💯
When the Big 3 are referred to it’s implied that they are the all-time three greatest legends of the game even above the Lavers, Samprases and Borgs. If top players of a particular generation/era is the point of discussion then Murray was definitely a big threat to the big three but so was Wawrinka. then it should be called Big 5.
@@kpajay Being a threat mean's Jack fxxkin sxxt, never heard so much bolox in my life...
FEDERER GLOBAL
MURRAY LOCAL !!!. end of lesson and discussion for today, come back tmro for another lesson
when the big 4 were first called the big 4 Novak only had one slam. it’s not an applicable term now but it absolutely was when the term was originally coined
You’re right, it was big 4 then (of THAT particular era). However now, the Big 3 are referred to as the 3 greatest players of all time, not of any era. Murray himself would agree
