Brunson is better than Hali at the moment and we are not 100% sure if that will change especially with Brunsons insane playoff runs. Hali may not ever have a run like JB last season but let’s consider that a wash for the future. Then u compare Randle/OG to Siakim/Turner and this is an another pretty even comparison for both teams. Knicks have better role guys like Divenchenzo, Mitch, Hart, Hartenstain etc compared to Neismith, McConnell etc. Pacersight have better upside with guys like Matherin/Jarace but that’s a huge question mark. And to think any of these guys will make an All Star team is extremely far fetched (at the moment). So where these teams seperate themselves is their ability to get bettter in the future. Pacers just gave up 3 future picks to get Siakim. Knicks have been tied to many star players. Let’s remember they had the assets to get Donavan last summer but ultimately decided against it. That may still be the move. Point is that even if they don’t get him, they have the assets to get a star player like him and they also have the team/environment to attract a player like him. NY is the biggest market period. At worst the 2nd biggest so the chance of them pulling it off in the near future is extremely high. P won that debate for sure.
