Mel here. I put together this documentary on the Manzanar War Relocation Center in California - one of ten internment camps the Army used to house Japanese-Americans without charge or trial after the bombing of Pearl Harbor during WWII. We happened to pass by it off the side of the road during a filming road trip back in 2020 prior to the lockdowns and when I saw the guard tower at the entrance to a national park, I had no idea what it was.
Despite having earned a master's degree, I had never been taught about the history of Japanese-American internment in school, and that includes two university level American history classes, one of which specifically covered WWII supposedly in-depth. I wouldn't learn about it until years later during my own history research. Why wasn't this history ever taught?
This dark moment in history is one of the saddest pieces I have ever made, but I think people need to see it and learn about this, so history doesn't get to repeat these human rights violations on the next "minority" because of the majority's hysteria and fear.
I was never taught about Japanese internment camps until i heard it from George Carlin. Dude helped in a lot of ways im still seeing all the time
Human rights violations like these are sadly peanuts to what we're facing now.
Thank you so much. Sending you all the best vibes!
Plenty of people know about the Japanese internment camps. Few however know that they also interned German immigrants.
I'm a uk history graduate and whilst I didn't cover this during my GCSES, Alevels or degree in dept it did come up in passing when I was at senior school.
ORWELL wasn't writing about the future dystopia, but the one HE WAS IN.
We have been in an authoritarian system since the industrial revolution.
Fascism- state corporatism, by the industries.
This is THE best documentary I've seen in my 45 years in regards to Japanese Internment. I am ashamed to add, Australia was also complicit in doing the same with our Japanese and again with our German Aussies. I have no doubt other Ethnic groups have suffered similarly also but are not at well known.
You're done a brilliant job in putting this together and it's very much appreciated! Thankyou!
Omg! I can't believe this didn't come to mind before I wrote the above! 🤦♀️
Australia's Refugees in different camps TODAY are being fed food not good enough for pigs! Im not joking! Private companies are used and paid extraordinary amounts, most of which they pocket whilst feeding those inside a minimum amount, if you're not too far back in the queue (it runs out before the people do!) And much of the "fresh" food is mouldy! Bugs and worms are found cooked in the rice etc.
The Australian gubberment does not care!
This is only one of the ways these folks are suffering!
On farcebook and these days no doubt elsewhere, there are groups whom share the truth of what's happening in places like Nauru, Christmas Island and Manus as well as "Medical hotels" on our mainland etc. ... such as where Novak was detained recently.
Please look into it yourselves
Ever see a picture of mob at a lynching?....perhaps a review of the 'Trail of Tears' ordeal?...I think you are sadly right...
@@gumbypokey I'll check it out. Thanks 😊
You'll find many dots to connect by reading "1666, Redemption Through Sin", PDF online, & researching results from "Rense+Talmud". Keep digging, everything will become crystal clear. Everything is based on the Talmud, ALL of the evil going back centuries.
"Yet it remains our secret that those Gentiles who betray their own and most precious interests, by joining us in our plot should never know that these associations are of our creation and that they serve our purpose...
“One of the many triumphs of our Freemasonry is that those Gentiles who become members of our Lodges, should never suspect that we are using them to build their own jails, upon whose terraces we shall erect the throne of our Universal King of Israel; and should never know that we are commanding them to forge the chains of their own servility to our future King of the world." --Sm. excerpt from 1936 B'nai B'rith Convention, Paris, France
Hi Mandy. I live in Australia and am ashamed to admit I wasn't aware we were just as bad. I guess I'll be going down a new rabbit hole today.
My parents were interned. My dad left the camp to join the US army while his mom, Dad, sisters and brothers stayed in camp. After camp they lost their acres and acres of orange groves and almost lost their house due to back taxes. Before the war they were largest citrus growers. And after they lived hard and challenging life to get back on their feet.
My sincerest sympathies. Soon almost no one will have anything except a hard go at it.
My story is very similar.
It was a land grab, bottom line.
@@MamaMoonShine I bet there is lots of stories. Wish I wrote down what my parents said about all the facts and stories about what happened, but I was young and not interested
@@manmadeaids , and wealth grab in my humble opinion.
I can foresee Americans being relocated to internment “camps” in the future who are considered domestic threats for possessing peculiar thoughts and ideas about the government.
Or perhaps they failed a test that they were forced to take or they would lose their jobs and everything else.
Or for refusing mandated vaccines?
Yeah re-education camps for those people irresponsibly endangering the health of our elders and immunosuppressed.
They already have the color coded stickers for mail boxes. It's only a matter of time, really. Once they get everybody's firearms, it will happen. I have very little doubt of it.
@@zeldafreak1975 get the firearms ,bwahhahhwha
The Japanese actor from the original Star Trek was interned in these camps. He actually shares his experience. It's true what my grandmother used to say: "as the elders die, so does the knowledge".
And he promotes pedophilia and communism virtue singing. now should buy teslas as he is worth 18 million.m
It is a very uncomfortable thought, to realize how quickly and easily THE TRUTH- ACTUAL HISTORY, can be erased and wiped out, thus changing the futures and fates of billions of people... Just at the whim of some narcissistic meglamaniacs.
One or two generations and everything changes. This has been done for unknown generations, without doubt. When you come to terms with this reality, you will understand, how far from reality, our understanding of reality, really is ! (I think that made sense...?)
This is how they continue to conceal who and what, we once were, as a civilization. Knowledge, inherent abilities, our very origin- all stolen from our memories.
This is how they seized control.
This is what they must do to maintain it.
@@garyfontez5221 makes total sense
You mean George Takei. Or Mr. Sulu on the original Star Trek series.
He also said get the covid jab or die in the parking lot of hospitals. I guess he didn't learn about empathy an basic human rights even though he was in an internment camp.
I had the rare luxury and privilege of going to a charter school in the early two thousands where I actually had a teacher who had a large amount of control over his classroom and curriculum and he was not shy about any part of American history. I did not know what a privilege that was until I was an adult.
It seems crazy this wasn't taught in all schools. It was taught in my school but I already knew about this being part Japanese and from Califronia.
I graduated in 1976, from a medium sized rural school system that actually had an excellent curriculum. They did teach the story of the Japanese American internment camps, along with many other sordid episodes in our history. Our teachers were, however, good about balancing the negative with the positive, ending with how so many come from all over the world to be Americans. Sadly, by the time my children graduated, education had already begun to deteriorate, though. Now in my grandchildren's generation, it's all we can do to keep disguised Marxist ideology out of our schools. My son and his wife had their children going part-time to a charter school and the rest homeschool. This year, due to proposed vaccine mandates, they've pulled the kids out of school altogether. I'll be helping a couple times a week, with the arts, a little military history and the Constitution/American history. LOL, wish me luck!
Curious. Did this teacher touch on the Tulsa Oklahoma bombings here in America? The military dropping bomb after bomb on its Americans in the 1920's? Just Curious.
@@jaygunn1979 As far as ours was concerned, they did go over it. No mention of "military bombing" though, they phrased it as someone used a crop-duster to drop Molotov cocktail-type incendiaries on the neighborhood. I'm curious about this "military" thing, what is this based on? Not doubting they would, I just have no info that the military was involved. I was born and raised in Oklahoma, I think every school child here was taught about the destruction of Black Wall Street.
@Jay Gunn He covered Black Wall Street, the Greenwood burning, the lynching, he covered all of it.
I was actively serving as military police when I visited. I began to take a closer look at the people I worked with as I could never understand americans doing this to their own. Once I took a close look, I realized the people I worked with as military police were fully willing and capable of such atrocious acts, as they are willfully uneducated about freedom and independence. They would never risk their retirement, school benefits or health insurance to ensure their fellow Americans retain their freedom.
Exactly
This right here is why history may repeat itself.
Freedom is a myth in an illegal occupation.
Yep, and so that mentality carries on today with the covid19 SCAM ..... I was just following orders never cuts it!
@@chrisrebar2381 Yep- totally agree!! It’s a plandemic and a scamdemic !!!
People thinking this is a dark chapter of American history need to realize the whole of American history has been dark. And we are living in the darkest of times.
There's a reason we don't learn from history; it's covered up, redacted, altered, censored, and even weaponized.
Thank you for this. I have a close friend whose parents were born in these camps. I was shocked to hear the truth, from them. I'm so glad you put this out for people to hear the truth! God bless you, Aaron and Melissa.
I live near an internment camp here northeast of Tucson called "Gordon Hirabayashi". They used the slave labor to build a highway in very rugged terrain. This was a great presentation, nice job
Was this anything like the holocaust? I'm very naive about history and stuff.
After watching this documentary i was very saddened to see the abyss of society, in the form of google reviews for the site. "Great place for nude hiking and camping". "Great place to hike" etc etc. Barely a mention of the atrocities committed against u.s. citizens.
I live near one in Southeastern Utah. So we grew up knowing about it. Certainly no one around here is proud of it at all. To us it was a horror story that your ancestors told you about.

World War 2 and many of its events are pure mythology. The so called greatest generation. As well as other events which we are not allowed to discuss here as of about 5 years ago when UA-cam truly begun it's war on truth and free speech. A lot of historical truth and necessary revision was right here on UA-cam. Thank you for the wonderful narration on what is another hidden dark secret of war that has been very nearly "cleared from memory". Sharing the stories both in person and through documentaries is one small way of honoring the injustice of those years.
We live a short drive away from Manzanar... Whenever we travel out of town it's stands as a reminder how close we are to this historical tragedy.

I agree. Shaking My Head Productions is a close second.
Another Masterpiece, thank you! My best friend growing up was Nisei and her family was wonderful & kind. We used to eat Japanese food, learn vocabulary & often visited Little Tokyo where her mother and aunt loved to buy designer clothes for less. We would have lunch at a Japanese Grill with green tea ice cream for desert. My father enlisted after Pearl Harbor and served in a submarine. I once rented a “modular house” in Oceano, California and was told it was former military barracks…hmmm. My son later went to study and live with a family in Osaka where we visited and a wonderful time! He now lives in Mountain View which you mentioned. They are a proud, decent and forgiving people! Grace and peace to you, from God our Father, and pray that you are counted worthy to enter into eternity, with all the people you've touched here on earth.
Mel you did a phenomenal job. Every detail of this video is excellent. Thank you for honoring these Japanese Americans and telling their stories.
I remember being on vacation in Colorado in the early 80s. I was a curious kid and was always fascinated by other people. I remember talking to an older Japanese woman at a little cafe they had in the laundromat. I remember asking what her ethnicity was and the conversation weaved into how she came here to the US and then that her and her family we're detained in this camp. I was never taught about this in school. This incident is why I will never apologize for asking about someone's background, ethnicity, or origin.
This caused the old people to go insane. They have pride and they destroyed the people by doing this. These were Americans adjusted to the states and who have a culture rich in bringing respect to the elders. This internment removed the matriarch from its vital role
Imagine those elders, how they must've felt, having no privacy, in daily matters of personal natures😢
And the disgusting leaders continue their atrocities, without cease.
You are stripped of dignity when you are incarcerated. The system, and those running it, are quite abusive. You are never quite the same, after.
This is one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. THIS is the kind of research that should be on the History channel. Instead of the drivel they peddle.
Probably the most important documentary you have ever done. Thank you so much.
Thank you for shedding light on this dark chapter of American history.
Great Job on this. People are able to see who we really are and why Jesus must return. We must stand for judgement.

I was just at the camp in Granada Colorado. I heard about it off another video and I'm like "Where's Granada"? Turns out it was only 2 hours away from me so I went. I saw the water tower about 30 miles away and I knew it was the place. The tower totally had that time period look. This place was huge... But not much left, a few buildings and the water tower is in perfect condition. It was set up to house 100,000 people if I remember correctly. Had plots for a school, grocery stores, church etc. This is something you do not hear about in history I had no idea that even happened!

@@truthtriumphant that's exactly why I went to check it out! To see if it was all set up and ready to go. To me, the only important endeavor is... How to never allow this and war to happen to us ever again.
Thank you Truthstream Media.
You guys are so amazing, I absolutely love your channel. Thank you for intelligent, hard work and research you put into your videos. Sooo powerful!
And sooo relevant in this age!
Will definitely spread this, as I continue to work through the series!
Thank you for making this. Our government officials are currently fanning the flames of racism and divisiveness, and attempting to separate up as people, again- this is a very important message to all. We share much more in common than they would have us believe. Truth is empowerment- “A divided nation cannot stand”
Thank you truthstream media for all you do. Been following you since you left infowars.
You should do an episode about water fluoridation
And they had to build their own monument? Talk about rubbing salt on a wound. This is astounding the injustice these people suffered.
Longmire touched on this in one of their episodes. Had no idea of this until then. The details now understood, what a Disgrace!!! to these very humble people.
A truly excellent presentation. I just hope more people seek out the truth for themselves. Not just of the real past, present, and possible future of the USA, but of this planet we all call home.
Whoa! God bless America? Xlnt work! And Melissa, the music is perfect!
