well the archer is still going back wards and lacking a turret, the merkava however is made with the engine in front specifically for this reason
@@diator2 yeah it ads extra protection and some space at the back for some infantry and more ammo but it's alot easier to see with thermals. I mean it's an MBT effectively fighting other tanks should be it's priority and I'm not sure that's a good trade
@@ironduke5058 that extra space is usually used for ammo storage but it does give you options no one else have on the battlefield.
And any armored vehicle is a priority these days anyway..

@@loserface3962 It's says a lot of a tank when you have to rely on the enemy bad luck and random glitches to survive 2km away hull down in a tank and the fact that you mention the "glitchy turret" and sniping with a tiger it means that you have never ever played with that tank, just so you know I spaded both tigers without premium , I have played more than enough to know that compared with pretty much any thing it faces , both Russian and American it's pure garbage,hull down, angled , sniper, whatever. Garbage. and should be replaced with a panther tank in you line up as soon as possible.those can at least bounce reliability, as well as snipe, and pen..

I actually done this before in my is2 on sands of Sinai I needed up getting a 8 kill game the enemy's just kept bouncing of my rear and side

I actually put bushes at the rear or some of my tanks. It actually helps when theres a bush in front of you but your ass will remain exposed. Idk, it just makes me feel more secure and 80% of the time, i've been saved by it when there are people passing behind me and they don't even notice

I know it was only a design but there was actually a version of the IS-2 that was designed to drive this way and I think it would be cool in game. (IS-2Sh) So the turret was always faced like this for the forward gear.
i just finished watching his older IS-2 vid earlier today and now this comes out.
Turned the is2 into an archer it’s even more confusing if it were the German tiger p or maus
why would you ever do that with a maus?
@Yuvaez there's no advantage in showing maus's back armor compared to frontal armor. The engine is on front, back is thinner, less sloped, and gives direct access to turret crew
The maus turret is near the rear outing it forward would give the enemy a migraine out of confussion makeing any shell redundant and inaccurate
@@Prenz01 you must be blind or stupid to not recognize the only tank in the game that has that size and turret just because its hull is rotated. The E100 is totally different on the hull as well. The only effect of going to battle in reverse with the maus is nullifying your armor advantage, which is the only advantage you have, and exposing your turret crew to being oneshot, which is normally harder.

ive been using this tactic ever since i got my is-1 a long time ago, i learned this ever since the wot days
What I like to do is take the IS-1 and move close to the front, turn it around, and reverse into the enemy. Its an amazing strategy as the rear armor is actually really good if your keep it angled and any penning rounds will mostly do nothing but destroy your transmission or engine, which allows you to fire back. It also kind of disguises what tank you are and confuses the enemy, making them take longer to shoot at you as they try to figure out what you are and where to shoot.

This is literally how I play KV-1S, IS-1, IS-2, and IS-3. It might not be indestructible, but it confuses the enemy and makes you a much harder target whch gives you the ability to take that first shot risk-free, and extra time to fire back.

About the bushes: The option to have six bushes was an option everyone had back when bushes were first introduced to the game. Anyone who bought them could have the six bushes. Gaijoodle figured out that is pretty OP so they changed how it works. However, to be fair to those who purchased the bushes when they were first in game, the people who bought them then get to keep their six bush capability. Now, anyone who doesn't already have them will never be able to get them.

Dude Phly, you can shoot the hull of a Panther with any gun that has over 200mm of pen. You’re going to give me an aneurism
the upper side plates of the panthers are actually really weak, with a lot of guns you can go through it even with very high angle.

I have kept 6 tanks busy with my IS-2 by turning my back and having them try to stop me capping. they were firing from long range. i lost sadly when i ran out of FPE's, one more FPE and i would have capped
