When I was a boy I remember seeing many many pictures of my Grandfather's hunting and fishing trips long before WWII. Seeing all the deer hanging and the fish just brang back times as a kid looking at them pictures. When I was a teen grandfather wasn't able to do much but he take me out hunting and few times fishing. Thanks for posting this story.
Thank you for sharing. I have a similar story about my own grandfather. Luckily I had a few experiences that I keep me to this day..& still take his old shotgun out with me from time to time. Fell in love with Maine & am now in the process of looking for & making my own camp. Life's too short not to.
@@yoholmes273 Life is short at the beginning of our lives we start thinking if I only had taken that fishing, hunting trip. Have moved away several times but always came back this is where I lived all my life and I just miss it when I'm not here for all the things this State is about and for sure my family also. Hope you make your way here and have that camp and happy camping. X-MAS

my dad had a picture of his father and brothers (dads uncles) at the camp with like 30 fish hanging from stringers
