Some people will still label them as K-pop for silly reasons, like how they trained and how they promote. I have no idea what training and promoting has to do with the type of music they perform, but there are people who will argue with me about it. If anything, XG is an R&B hip-hop group. "Global" is the term they use. I started calling them X-pop because most people wouldn't use global and would go straight to K-pop instead.
