Today we are taking a look at Thor's STORMBREAKER featured in the MCU. As seen in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. This is coming to us from Hasbro from their Marvel Legends Series of premium roleplay items. Big thank you to ZAVVI for sending this awesome item for me to take a look at and review with you all. Infinity War was my favorite movie but it's hard to beat the energy felt when Captain America picks up Thor's hammer.

I thought Endgame was a wonderful end to Marvel Cinematic Saga. It had the nearly impossible task of being a finale to over 20 films of continuity and it did that job pretty well... but yes, Infinity War was absolutely the better film. It was amazing.

Wow nice detailed review. I love the sounds you made when the lights were kinda off haha. And this does look nice but looks heavy. I agree with the on and off switch and the axe paint job.

Great background info. This honestly turned out better than I thought. Now I am going to have to track one down. I am actually kicking myself for not picking up that 1:1 metal Captain America shield they released a couple of years ago :(

I love both movies but if i had to pick one to be my favorite between IW and AE I’d say Infinity War is my favorite even though it was in Endgame that we saw Captain America wield the Mjolnir hammer and really stick it to the mad titan Thanos. Stormbreaker is the perfect weapon for heroes and savages. #MCU #Stormbreaker

It is definitely a beautiful piece, probably gonna grab it based on your review, so thanks for that. I have the Captain America shield and recently got the Mighty Thor hammer, which is pretty sweet. And blue, it's the proper blue. This probably just needs a slightly different paint job, but that's pretty simple to do. Thanks for the review!
Logically the stormbreaker shouldn’t have weathering and shouldn’t look old as in the MCU movies it’s very new, only recently even forged.
In IW, yes. In Endgame, it becomes 5 years old. Maybe a little older. So it would have a little weathering.

What about weathering from aging?
@@crimz_ there's not enough kinetic force applied to objects or opponents to warrant weathering he never used it in war outside of digging into Thanos' chest in Infinity War pt.1
you could say lightning from stormbreaker could cause weathering but their is no evidence it was used in Thor's hiatus..
One more thing since the weapon is mystical I'm sure it would take more then the earth's natural elements (air, rain, gravity) alone to create such weathering..
but for the sake of argument there is a very slight possibility of weathering when he transported to Wakanda and fought Thanos' and his army that it caused weathering, but he just got Stormbreaker moments earlier on Nidavellir which would make Stormbreaker seem fragile and would need maintenance and repair on a regular basis which is virtually impossible..

Great review! I was thinking if this was intended for using with a cosplay, then it might be who’ve them to make it light in weight so that you could carry it around all day every day for 3 to 4 days of a comic expo. And I agree with your comments about the Metal portion of the blade not having any wear effects.

And I agree that a blue light would have improved it more with the light effects, otherwise, it's just amazing! Anyone who wants to use this in cosplay better get in shape, it looks heavy! That color variation on the "Topper" probably depends on the metal used. While a lot of metals oxidize or rust or what have you, some metals - especially fantasy metals might not come with those shot comings. Sorta like stainless steel. Make sure you take those batteries out of it Laura, unless you want it waking you up in the middle of the night, several times. It looks like even the air makes it come alive.

Thrifting today and found some VHS. The trip continued at Game Stop where I found some $1.00 non madden games. Actually some pretty cool ones. Fallout 3 , Batman Arkham City , Assassins Creed Black Flag , and Band Hero.

As a fellow collector, love your channel, Laura especially the throwbacks to vintage 80's toys! Please do a video on the vintage Thundercats LJN toys. As a Thundercat fan, the original 80's cartoon was the best and superior to that terrible Teen Titans Go ripoff "Thundercats Roar" in my opinion.

I see your behind on Avengers and raise you having not even seen _Black Panther_ or _Antman_ or _Captain Marvel_ yet. I'll eventually get to them (and _Infinity War_ and _Endgame_ ), but to be honest, I really don't care enough to rush. (Also, _Aquaman_ , _Hobbit_ trilogy, and all Disney _Star Wars_ movies.) 🤷
I feel like no off switch is a deal breaker for Stormbreaker. That thing, while super awesome looking, would drive me nuts.

Infinity war definitely is more intricately layered. The pace,score,buildup,climax,and eventual outcome of infinity war delivers so much more impactfully than endgame barring the *spoiler alert* demise of Tony stark
I would like to point out that Thor's clothes have a higher melting temperature than the uru that was used to make Stormbreaker.

My girlfriend got me this the other day and I LOVE it. I dont think a thor weapon forged in the heart of a dying star would have wear and tear tbh, so dont necessarily agree with that improvement. The on/off switch is something I wanted initially, but the motion activation doesnt happen until you click the button, then if you leave it alone for 30 seconds or so it switches itself off, then the button acts as an on switch. So in hindsight an on/off switch isn't necessary and would detract from the movie look IMO. To open the battery case you need to press a ruler or a thin object under the removable panel to unlock it, the instructions weren't clear at all on that I had to watch a video on it; so i agree there :D
