Curt Hennig was best friends with Wade Boggs..They were hunting together Boggs fell through a BARBED WIRE FENCE... He was bleeding badly..Henning carried Boggs on his back over a mile to the truck...Once at the ER they told him..."IF YOUR FRIEND HADN'T CARRIED YOU OUT YOU WOULD HAVE BLED TO DEATH"...He and Boggs were great friends...
The two guys holding Lawler was Robert Fuller and Gary Young. Fuller had been a mainstay in the Southeastern/Continental promotion. Ironically, another mainstay was Jerry Stubbs, who used the Mr. Perfect name years before Curt Hennig!

But I feel it started when Stan Hansen left and they just handed the belt to Nick Bockwinkle. I don't like seeing belts won and lost in the office. They need to be won or lost in the ring. Verne Gagne could have had a tournament or battle royal to decide the new champion. Eric Bischoff had nothing to do with it. He was just there.

The build up. If Lawler would have came out immediately, would the segment be as memorable. The destroying the studio and grabbing the announcer never would have happened. This segment was perfect just the way it was.

im a life long wrestling fan i put up with the redicule but i gotta respect those ppl on sum level though & so should u. even when they thought wrestling was "real" it was still silly & circus cultured. but its not right for u to b angry at them for wanting to root for a "real" sport. even i think that having unpredetermined matches at this point would still put alot of the hecklers to rest & respect amongst other sports. even when wrestling was on espn2 it was just an espn 3 kinda sport..

I think Memphis was changing the look of the studio for the next show at this point. WWE did that during the Attitude Era and in later 2000's.
