Hello Janette and Richard, great job🙌. The pond is very beautiful and you are both going to love the sound when having your coffee/tea. You crazy kids make a great team😉🫶, love how you both compliment each other and when you are in vlogs together we all know it’s going to be entertaining ❤. Once again, great job. Water lilies are so pretty. The pond plants that you choose are so beautiful 🤩. Love the outcome, it’s looking more and more like a wildlife garden🐞🐢🐛🐌.
Good morning Elizabeth! Thanks for your lovely comments, I like the crazy kids title 😂 we’ve really been enjoying the pond so far except a fox came in the night before last and stole the suet logs and knocked my sweet flag over into the water and drowned my hedgehog … saw it all on CCTV 😂 so I’ve moved the bird feeder! Have a lovely day 🧡😊
oh no 🤭, I don’t know why but I said to myself when I saw the suet feeder above the pond it was going to be trouble😳, I’m glad all is ok. Definitely a great idea to move it. Other than that, it’s a beautiful addition to your garden.Have a great week my friend!
Looks beautiful. All the very best to Richard regarding his health. Hope you both enjoy/enjoyed your cruise. It will be exciting to see some frog spawn in early Spring!
Hello and thank you so much! It’s been a few weeks now and the pond is settling down really well. I haven’t seen much in the way of wildlife yet but I have my fingers crossed 🤞 ❤️😊 and we are just waiting now for the results of all Richard’s tests and scans but really looking forward to our cruise 🚢
Your garden is looking wonderful. The new pond looks lovely in the place you’ve put it and liking the idea of the ivy. Can’t wait to see what visitors you get to both your wildlife areas. You’ll have to set up a nature camera xxx
The person or company that gifted you this beautiful pond, is very wise. I have never seen Richard spin his magic so fast and so enthusiastically. I do believe this is because it was sent in his name. Lol. And of course Janette, you just had to do your magic and complete this beautiful project. What a gorgeous delight you presented today. Love it. Have a lovely week both. ❤❤ PS : Richard deserves a big peck on the cheek on camera. He evidently made you very happy.
Oh bless you, just read your comment to him - yes we are incredibly lucky to have this as a gift and you are right, I do believe he thoroughly enjoyed doing it! Have a lovely week 😊🧡
Im so excited Richard seems excited and makes it look very simple to put together . That inspiration of expeller with Ivy will be perfect . I laughed out loud when he pulled out zinnia 😂. We are very blessed to have partners that share in our passion for gardening. Just love the dramatic ladder if I was a frog id be curious where they lead😉. Those diamonds already look perfect. I just love this I need water pond plants. That corner looks to cozy for sitting. You must be thrilled. This is exciting addition. Perfect. The frog is on his way in 😊. Love the shirt Richard😂
Hello my friend and thank you, so many great comments 😊 oh yes … my zinnias 😂 never bothering with those again 😂 I’m pleased with the diamond espalier too. Thanks so much for joining us 🧡😊
I absolutely love this, it looks great…I’ve been contemplating having a pond for the last 2yrs but I’m worried I get too many frogs. I’ve had toads in the garden in a damp area behind the shed and I’ve had no pond 🥴 This is beautiful. It fits the garden well 🤩🤩🤩💕🙏💕
Hi Janette! What a fun surprise! It looks wonderful in your garden. I would love a water feature in my yard. I have a bird bath and thought about putting in one of those solar fountains in it since I don’t have a lot of electrical around the yard. Don’t want too much standing water due to attracting mosquitoes. Enjoy and until your next video, I hope you and the Unenthusiastic Gardener have a wonderful week 😂. ❤❤
Hello there Lauren and I do add mosquito treatment to mine because that’s the last thing we need!!! I’ve been very impressed with the solar fountains I have to say. They’re really great. Have a lovely week too 🧡😊
Hi Jeanette & Richard, I so enjoyed watching your wildlife pond come together looks amazing, so impressed I'm thinking of getting one myself. Thank you so much for your excellent video 😊
Hey Michael and I’m so pleased you’re thinking of getting one too! Aren’t they amazing and honestly you can have a pond in an hour!! Do let me know if you get one 🧡😊
That's a lovely pond. I'm useless when it comes to putting things together but I think I could manage that. I hope you'll get some frogs and toads soon.
Wow! You have mastered the “wildlife” garden. Everyone should at least have this one or something like it for wildlife these days. People here are putting containers outside for small animals to have water because of the heatwave. It’s been 108 degrees F. where I’m at. You’ve definitely made another exceptional addition to your garden. Richard did a great job putting the pond together, and fast! lol I love the wall behind it and the tree looks great. It already looks established! 🐸🐞🪷
Oh that’s so nice for your neighbours to be putting water out for the wildlife. So pleased you like it, we are loving it, and such a quick build too. Thanks for watching 😊🧡
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener It is nice. The temperatures are so high. If everyone did this where animals can’t find water it would help our wildlife. We have a creek and big pond by us so that helps. @@TheEnthusiasticGardenerthese ponds are so lovely. We have one of the bigger ones and I love it. You might want to rethink on the fat balls. An acquaintance very nearly lost her dog after he ate about half of one. I have them in an enclosed holder so only tiny pieces can fall on the ground.
@kateeveritt3292 hi Kate, how wonderful you have one too! You’re right about the suet balls, I will certainly take notice of that, and I think the foxes found them last night 😂 so I’m going to have to move that away 👍 thanks for watching 🧡😊
The pond is so pretty. Do you have to take the plants out in the winter? Good to see Richard. Your garden is expanded a lot from a few years ago. I was watching a few old videos.
Hi Nancy, the garden has surely evolved hasn’t it? We shouldn’t have to take these plants out in the winter, although it will be our first winter with ponds so I’m only guessing. Thanks so much for watching - and all the golden oldies 👍😊🧡
@@TheEnthusiasticGardenerpond frozen no problem and plants aslo ,i have tried pond.
Thanks Alan, i thought they’d be ok 👍😊
soz , apart from water lettuce , they are not hardy in the UK . But you can just buy a no mother plant next spring ? , or try one in a vase on a windowsill or greenhouse perhaps.
Oh yes Alan I knew the water lettuce is an annual but OMG they just multiply so fast!! I am inundated with them now, from just two little ones 😂😂🧡
Is there a way anywhere for frogs, hedgehogs etc, to get into your garden?
I do have some gaps here and there Pat and I saw a frog here about a year ago so they can get in, I just need to put some “pond over here” signposts up for them 😂🧡
😻
🧡🧡🧡
The crazy thing is, I have frogs in my garden but no pond. You have ponds but no frogs!! 🤣
It is quite amazing how far they travel away from water once they have finished breeding, newts likewise. Both great organic pest control.
@annaa9241 I know!! It’s not like I’m not trying 😂😂
@tonycritcher3419 that’s what I’ve read, they will travel a couple of miles. I just need to put up a couple of signposts 😂
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener Maybe theyre not keen on Essex! 😂😂😂
@annaa9241 😂 that’s very possible 😂
