I loved it! It brought back memories of me and my cousin fly fishing 35 years ago. He hooked a massive rainbow and had an identical fight and landing. I was laughing so hard that I also fell in the river. LMAO
Caught a huge German Brown on the Merced just below Yosemite many years back. There's nothing like it cuz native GB's are hard to come by and you'll remember it for life! Your'e the man Matt.

Been fishing for 60 years never once have I went in after a fish. To me it's a sign of panic, you must play a fish all fish will turn over if you play them properly. Just as an anecdote there is trout caught I'n Scotland that have been up to 40 lbs and as far as I know everyone has been let go. I Think its desperate to go to these lengths to land a fish. At the end of the day give the fish a chance. Sorry if I upset you but its the way I feel.
