Frank was influenced by Dana Carvey by focusing on character & personality in his impressions...that is where it becomes entertaining...a lot of guys can nail voices...few can make it entertaining...the difference between the party guy and entertainer. also both carvey and frank can seamlessly weave in and out of characters to keep a storyline which is extremely difficult. see carvey's stand up when he does all the presidents...insane talent.
Frank barely gets a word in on this show. If he'd left, nobody would have noticed. Why was he even there? I would tell you to skip ahead in the video where Frank speaks or does an impression but there are none.

"Why was he even there?" Because, believe it or not, Frank wanted to hang out with Rick and Bubba. If he didn't, this whole video wouldn't be 1.5 hours long. So yes, I think people actually would notice if Frank wasn't there for these segments, because he actually spoke quite a bit.
I like how it looks like Frank tries very hard to keep humble with his career's success. His being down to Earth keeps his venues filled very well.
