I bought one, specifically because it has the rendered images of the pedals on the screen, and because it has bluetooth so I can stream music from my iPhone through it (to play along to). Love it.
Gonna be honest, it's a lot nicer to look at than a Kemper. And the differences in sound between modellers is getting kind of negligible. But my concerns with them is always support and community; it's all well and good having a great unit if nobody's making profiles for them, or the company folds and firmware updates etc. stop. What I'm hoping is that soon there'll be a standardised profile format type that's adopted, or even, dare we dream, that there'll be a step up from the ToneX which is practically a DAW in a box that can run any and all VST/AU/etc. ampsim plugins in a stompbox format.
Yeah this is my feeling too. Whenever someone asks me which one sounds better, I have no idea how to answer. They all sound good. Go with the one that brings you the most enjoyment and stop focusing on the minutiae
I think the TS Mega concept fits this idea pretty well, you just have to supply the computer. Also nice because you’re not ever buying or upgrading a single use computer
One thing no one ever goes over is their setup and how it's done. Are you just plugged into an out from the Prime to a speaker cab? Do you use an amp, what kind of amp? Is the amp special to be as "baseline" as possible?
YES EXACTLY-ALL THESE YOU TUBE/TIKTOK/INSTAGRAM "IMPRESSARIOS" ARE ALL THE SAME, AND I NOTICED IT WAS 9 MONTHS AGO YOU ASKED YOUR QUESTION. PROBABLY BE BETTER ASKING TAYLOR SWIFT A FREAKIN QUESTION!!
that's a big board ! I'm just glad a company has released a new modeler, i've been wanting to upgrade for quite a while and it seemed apart from the quad cortex every unit are few years old
Very cool! The Chug pedal clone for sure sounded brighter than the actual pedal, but I know that’s your first attempt. I’m curious if stuff gets closer once you’ve had time to get used to the software.
So didn't even know this thing was in the pipeline. Just bought an MX-5 maybe two months ago and the one thing I really don't like about it is the fact that all editing has to be done on the unit. There is no mobile or desktop app. Please tell me that this has that feature. The lack of software is the only thing keeping the MX-5 from being my absolute favorite
I wonder if the "Amp cloning" feature is the same kind of neural net machine learning process that Kemper, Neural DSP QC, Overloud TH-U Rig Player, IK ToneX and Neural Amp Modeler uses, or if it's more like the amp matching feature that for example the Mooer Pre-amp pedals and Bias FX are using. It does sound a lot like machine learning, but it captures the profiles so much faster than any of the others (with a relatively weak CPU) so kinda doubt it. Maybe it's a hybrid between regular component modelling (using pre-existing models that are shaped to sound like the target) and machine learning? Sounds great nonetheless. I was very disappointed by the amps in the original Headrush Pedalboard, but the difference with the Prime is like night and day!
I would like to see the Drop and Whammy pedals. Specifically to see how good tracking is on the Whammy and how good the Drop is for low tunings using a standard tuned guitar
Cool. How it goes cloning overdrive pedals with "transparent" settings or cleanish amps? I've seen some demos, but it's always heavily distorted amps or pedals.
love it, and if manufacture's think we want less GUI , there silly. A rack version with a separate floor switcher would be ideal though. If they do that, i would by the prime rack, and what a great name " The PRIME Rack"
I thought the vocal processor was a harmonizer like the TC-Helicon. This autotune is more like a Vocoder. It changes your pitch based on the chord you are playing.
lol...why would you pick a distortion pedal to test the clone pedal function? for a quick demo, colour me completly unimpressed with the sounds you gravitated towards (picks random amp - gets generic metal sounding chunk, picks pedal - gets generic metal sounding chunk, clones said pedal and gets a generic metal sounding chunk).... edit: chunk=chug.... shakespeare yea, but can it do a generic metal sounding chunk?
I'm POed that Headrush deliberately withheld alot of it's features that could have been update installed in their Pedalboard... I'm all done with Headrush after this money-grubbing BS... ☹️
Yeah I'm seeing this some of those features should be able to be adopted to the older pedals still plenty of great stuff for the new updated ones to make it worthwhile upgrading anyway
Hey pal, you might want to refrain from using The Lords name in vain. The Bible states in the 10 Commandments that you will not go unpunished for that. Exodus 20:7. Just a friendly warning .
Too big, period. And I am pretty sure it will be priced in the same scale as its size so out of reach for most people, because let's face it, most people cannot justify and/or afford to spend 1500$ + on this. I miss the Taylor who demoed and reviewed gear for us mere mortals can actually consider and got exited for Mooer/Hotone more affordable stuff ... your channel is becoming like all the others, only gear that is simply out of reach.
It lists for $1299 new on Sweetwater. If you call them and ask for them to work on a price, I'm sure you can at least get $70 off, which will cover tax. Or just wait a year, when someone bought it, doesn't use it because they got bored and will sell it for under $1000. Or buy the Tone X for $399. Or a Boss Katana mkII 50 used for $150 and get access to a ton of sounds, not everyone needs a modeler. Or just don't buy it, because a lot of gear is out of reach for people, which is why cheap guitars are becoming so popular and better. A youtuber is under no obligation to only review gear all their followers can afford. How could they know that? And if you find that this channel only reviews gear you cannot afford, there are 100 other UA-camrs that will review gear you can afford. Do you only watch content from people who are reviewing gear you will buy? You don't just window shop?
I just try to make entertaining videos. If you are tuning in to see a very specific thing and don't actually enjoy me as a person, then youre gonna be bummed out 🤷♂️
Education is the key to financial success and the good modelers. Nux and Mooer are like Huwawei and ZTE cell phones, knock offs of Samsungs and Apples. If you think I'll sit around as the world goes by You're thinkin' like a fool 'cause it's a case of do or die Out there is a fortune waitin' to be had You think I'll let it go you're mad You've got another thing comin'
So glad I can finally share this with you guys! Here's the video on the Amp Cloning feature: ua-cam.com/video/P0cZKlOT-6s/v-deo.html
The video still shows as private ;)
I bought one, specifically because it has the rendered images of the pedals on the screen, and because it has bluetooth so I can stream music from my iPhone through it (to play along to). Love it.
Revalver was Peavey’s amp plugin suite. So they actually have the licenses for the names! Nice!
Oh awesome, I had no idea! There you go, I told you all these companies were going to start merging and following the IK multimedia ecosystem model!
Headrush have bought revalver ! There you go

Yep, I bet there are going to be more releases in the next year though.
I’m excited for the inclusion of vocal processing!
Hella badass!!! thanks for the serenade at the end!
Any time!
A ReValver section? holy shit I used to love that amp sim. Was gutted when Peavey chose not to keep it updated.
Very cool! The Chug pedal clone for sure sounded brighter than the actual pedal, but I know that’s your first attempt. I’m curious if stuff gets closer once you’ve had time to get used to the software.
looks like the effectloop return volumn is to high, which differs the total gain
Love the T-Pain collab at the end
Thanks dude! 🥳
This model already sounds light years better than the previous.
I wish my Quad Cortex had real life images. This is a great looking unit. Huge though, but this really is an all-in-one pedalboard.
I absolutely love this thing

Hey Taylor where can I get the clones you just made and your IR? Thanks Jeff Milam😎
So glad you din't eat that! It says - PLAINLY on it "Do Not Eat This"! LOL!!!
This video is great, the final part is TOP :DDDD

What is that finish called on your guitar? It's pretty cool.
I'm realizing now how small my MX5 is, and although i still love it ... this thing is off the charts tempting.
buy a kemper it sound many times better
@@bikeman1x11 . But many times more expensive.
@@metallion0738 the headrush is $1299 and kemper stage is $1799 but many times better
Good day Sir, Might that be an Ampeg VH 140C head in the background there?
Hi Taylor! do you think I can clone the REVV on my Hx stomp? I'm curious about that
Great demo , ty
I would like to see the Drop and Whammy pedals. Specifically to see how good tracking is on the Whammy and how good the Drop is for low tunings using a standard tuned guitar
its a no-brainer. you have to clone the crate gx130c or the ampeg vh140c. out of left field have you ever tried a crate shockwave?
I have not, but a surprising amount of people sing their praises.
Cool. How it goes cloning overdrive pedals with "transparent" settings or cleanish amps? I've seen some demos, but it's always heavily distorted amps or pedals.
Is the pedal board thingy actually any good???? ...or are you just paid to say it is???😊

Can it clone an Earthquaker Devices Data Corrupter or a Meris Enzo or even a Bananana Tararira or anything else you have to that extent?
I have no idea what those pedals are, but like most of these, I think they are limited to distortions, overdrives and fuzzes.
@@TaylorDanley oh i see. Thanks mate! Awesome content! Cheerio!
That's bad ass! Is there an application to modify patches via PC/ Mac??
No PC editor
I thought the vocal processor was a harmonizer like the TC-Helicon. This autotune is more like a Vocoder. It changes your pitch based on the chord you are playing.
It has a bunch of different options, I just am not the guy to do a proper demo on them because my singing is hot garbage.
Dam it! Now I want one
I really hope they unclude the redered images on the mx5, gigboard an so on. It would be awesome
It would be, people have asked for them for a long time!
The USB A connector is very robust. That's why it's still used.
Even normal talking with autotune sounds like every modern pop song.
That’s because every modern pop song is essentially monotone talking with auto tune 🤣
Didn't knew your channel, you're an very cool person. Abraços do Brasil
can you do dual amp blends on it? Be it just sim models, or profiles from cloned amps, or a blend or both maybe?
Yes, you can use dual amps and blend them.
great review as always! Now I need a gigboard prime, having a revalver is great, the sad thing is having to spend more money...
it's HUGE! mandingo modeler
That is ONE Big Boi!
It’s huge, and heavy!
Umm.. It looks GIGANTIC! I'm certain no one asked for that.
😂 You should have seen my face when I saw the box on my porch..

spunds fizzy and digital like the headrush did-

YES lol
