I hate when it curls that bad after drying! Those seriously turned out great i don't think i would have gotten results that good. Your face when you seen the negatives was the best. 😮💨
Hello. I just saw your channel today in my youtube feed. Very nice photos. I use expired and fresh film all the time. I do the opposite though. I have a BrownieBullseye that belonged to my late father. I love that camera. It takes 620 film so I modify 120 film rolls it is on to fit into the camera and schoot 120 film in it. I take all my film to a local lab. Too toxic for me to do myself and the lab does a way better job than I ever could.
Thank you! Expired film is so much fun, especially the one that is not produced anymore. I had blank rolls a couple of times with expired color film, but I’d never use it for something important.
I converted them in Negative Lab Pro. Not much editing. The 1974 roll turned out decent, although I wouldn’t try printing it in darkroom. The 1961 roll had weird texture and I had to use slower shutter to scan it, definitely wouldn’t print at all. Both rolls were very thin and curly too, I bet that would be painful to load in negative carrier.
That "scratchy" texture to the old-old film (1961 vintage) was interesting! The 1974 film looked good, actually! Now you know what to do when you get 620 film, you could probably look for more.
any idea what caused this unusual pattern on the 1961 roll? this same thing happened to me on an ancient roll of hp5+ and I had never seen that before, despite me shooting more expired than fresh film...
Yeah. I’ve read someone else’s experience with such long time expired film and decided to follow their development process myself. It worked, but not sure if 90 mins was necessary, possibly 60mins could be enough 🤷🏼♀️
You actually got some good results considering the film was older than me , well one of them anyway . I’ve found expired B/W holds up pretty well but coloured film really goes to pot after a long period of time .
Turned out better than I would have expected.
I was surprised too
wow i have a roll of film from 1958. I wasnt sure if id get anything from it but this has given me hope!
Lovely pictures, really surprised by how well that first roll held up.

@@Kevins_Camera sometimes results are surprising!
well done , good shots and you did well with both exposure and developing this old expired film 10/10
Thank you! It was a fun experience
Amazing!!
Congrats on your move!

Were the photos edited?
I really liked the results.
Can you imagine them being developed and printed in the traditional way of the 60s?

Interesting....thanls for sharing
Thanks for watching!

I liked that scratchy film, it was way too dark for darkroom printing but made ok scans.

I don’t know. Maybe because it’s so old?
@@AnalogueDiaries sure, but is it some kind of fogging or did something build up on the emulsion itself? who knows...
You don’t have to respool the film, all you had to do is use a nail clippers and clip it to size!
Thank you! Good to know, I’ll try this with other rolls next time.
Don’t use outdated film for important images . Have fun , use it pushed at least a stop in toy cameras but save your money and buy fresh
Film .
Absolutely, I would never use expired film for something important.
omg....90 min ? that is a lot of time.....
