No, he’s undersized, I wouldn’t pay that amount for no lineman. I trust the FSU staff with selecting the right type of player rather than chasing the star classification.

Charlie Ward, Warrick Dunn, Dion Sanders, Peter Warrick, ron simmons, Peter Boulware, Clay Shiver, Derrick Brooks. Probably the only players in Seminole history that are worth that amount and more.

The fisher regime built a team around him. Derwin, dalvin, were great don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't shell out the big bucks and sacrifice other key positions. When I first saw his weight, I thought it was a typo. He's very athletic, I wouldn't be surprised if he's eventually moved to linebacker or defensive end.

I don't know about position caps and doubt they would wanna do that, but they absolutely need to collectively rule on a cap for class or a freshman class salary cap. The problem is CFB are their own worst enemy. It's every conference then every man for themselves.

I don't think that would be illegal until the players unionize and actually become employees. But again I don't agree with it.
@@jamesb0255 Capping pay is illegal in America unless you get a waiver like the NFL. Presidents and universities don't want to unionize or they would have taken steps to do it already.

If FSU pays a proven 5* junior or senior offensive lineman transfer then yes, but paying that much right out of high school, Hell no!

My only problem is where was all these critiques when we thought we had the kid locked in?... now hes a "bordeline" 5 star, light weight, etc. Yea he's probably not worth that kind of money, but lets wish him luck and just leave it at that.
High value positions like quarterback, defensive end and offensive tackle are always going to require a premium payment for a top ranked high school recruit. For the most part those elite players in college do not enter the portal. There was no Caleb Williams, Jared Verse, or Amarius Mims in the portal and most years there won’t be. If you want these guys you have to recruit them out of high school and develop them. It’s going to cost a lot of $$$ to do this
