this is actually more how to NOT mic a drum, this is a lesson about polarity and shows you that if you place the mics like that you would basically hear nothing.
Great stuff and great studio! What is that unit in the far right rack the big piece? And do you have all the rack gear available in pt? And about the snares I always rev pol on the bottom mic ,should I reverse top? In my experience I usually look at the overheads when checking phase,is this good practice, and not so much a fan of bottom snare mics anyway, and do you have other engineers come in to track,I need a drum Room to track ,I'm in nj?
very misled video title
cutting teeth clickbait in my book.
Extremely misleading
Destructive interference would be a sick band name

***** is the entire lesson available somewhere online or you say that live? Thanks.
***** Thank you very much, you've been very helpful. Hopefully I'll find enough money to download the full session. Cheers!
No, you just phase invert the signal.

Illustrating Polarity with Drum Mic Placement
Anybody wanna go halfsies on these courses?
I wish he taught university math lectures, maybe then i wouldn't have dropped out
A very large explanation about a simple concept like polarity cancellation. Nothing about how to mic a Drum
This is how you hide your satanic messages in the recordings 😂👍🏻
Nothing to do with how to mic a drum. All to do with phase inversion.
