I think everyone has to make that choice for themself, but in my life I have found that I learned more from being tolerant of people who disagreed with me on many issues than I did when I flat out rejected them for it. Of course it depends on what the issue is and how tolerant both people are willing to be of each other. As the saying goes, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Some of them get even information from doctors that the vaccine may not work if the person is older and takes a lot of medications. There were a lot of doctors who refused vaccines as well.

Without herd immunity, the virus will continue to circulate and mutate. Eventually it with evolution into more highly transmiable and lethal variants. This is want is starting to happen with the Delta variant. Current vaccines appear to be effective against Delta, but we are probably only a few generations away from a truly variant. If more people were vaccinated it would stop it in its tracks.
