James Dad was dying of stage 4 kidney disease,He had already been a living donar himself as he has a rare blood type and no match could be found for him when he needed it ,But thanks to this song a distant relative came forward for testing and was a match ,James father is still alive today ....
@@bermeatic Coincidentally the distant relative a cousin who was living in Australia had the same name as James's father, Charles Blount, so it seems as it it was meant to be.
I lost my father suddenly in April 2008... It still hurts that I never told him, how much I loved and respected him. If you stil have him or our mum... tell em!... ffs tell em!
It's a beautiful song. The I'm not your son you're not my father line what I love is it strips down one's to just the basic human being with feelings and love for one another without titles or names and that simplicity of just being two loving humans to each other it's powerful, it's a powerful statement he said.
Only grown men cry when they hear this ... Every effing time. Lost my father to COVID in 2021 in Lafayette LA. He was practicing the violin as a hobby and had 2 annoying puppies... Rest easy dad. The dogs are doing well.
I heard this song multiple times a few years ago when my mother died. I cried a lot but the song helped me through the pain. Because - we are all human. I want you to react to something special : DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN (he is from Kazakhstan) singing "Ogni Pietra" (every stone) from the Arnau Concert on his own channel. The song is in Italian and was written for Dimash. This guy has an 6 octave range and he is trained since the age of 5 years old. Never heard a voice like this - it's unbelievable. I'm pretty sure you will enjoy it. All the best from Germany 🇩🇪 Petra
It’s weird how music can communicate exactly how you felt at an exact moment. James sounded like he was preparing to grieve. Glad he didn’t have to at the time.
You should react to another one by James Blunt "The girl who never was" it is equally difficult to listen to but it's very beautiful. ( don't listen to it you're trying for a family)

It’s such an emotional and heartfelt song.
Jame did this live, in one shot. At the end everyone was crying his dad said'im still here'.
They were both in the Brittish army so strong men.
That’s incredible. I couldn’t imagine having to do that more than once.
