You would be amazed at all the different uses you can have for jars (storing pencils, paintbrushes, rice, pasta, nuts, cashews, makeup brushes, sculpting tools, colouring pencils, cotton buds, cotton balls exc.) :)
I would love if you could either put it in the description or say it in the video how long time it takes to do these DIY things? it could always be good to know :)
I just LOVE this idea. My husband and I are getting a house and this is such a gorgeous way to decorate without being overpowering. Thank you darling for such a beautiful idea
These jars you decorate are simply gorgeous! I know you are always looking for ideas, and although I can't speak for anyone but myself, I think it would be amazing if you were to do a giveaway for one of the jars you decorate. I realize the purpose of these are supposed to be that they are DIY, but it would be really cool to own something that was created by the wonderful KlairedeLys. ^_^ Also, congratulations on your nomination; you deserve it!
It's like a paste that is used when you want to paint a wall but it has a lot of holes and imperfections in it... it smoothes out the surface so the paint won't look bad or crack due to the imperfections :) is similar to plaster, but plaster is a bit more fragile... I think ._.
Omg this brings back memories. When I was little me and my dad would go the beach in the summer and collect shells to make these jars with! We have about 5 of these in the shed somewhere :)
I think this would be awesome if you applied the wall filler, and then dusted a very very reflective, sparkly glitter on, and then stuck the shells in :3
No dislikes? Duh! Because this is awesome!! Just like all of your amazing tutorials :) This is so beautiful and so easy and would really be a beautiful gift. Thank you!!
Remember me of " La Chaumière des Coquillages " in Rambouillet, France next to Paris, it look like a cottage of the 18th Century, decorate with marble, shell and nacre, i'm sure you will love it :)
Man, I bet wall filler/ spackle would be great for all kinds of projects!!!! Oh Hay, I totally made the clay roses using your tutorial and they look great- you are a huge artistic inspiration to me- and I'll link up the video (when I make it) and your tutorial so you can get a peek at what I've done with them. Hint: It's not a candleholder, lol. Feel better soon
Is spackle the same thing as wall filler ? This is beautiful!! I used hot glue and they held on for 3 days and fell off !! Thank you for showing me what to use !! 😊
I know I normally answer all your questions when I've just uploaded a video but I managed to catch something and absolutely need to sleep so I'll answer your comments in the morning. Hope you like the video! :D
@KlairedelysArt Klaire, where did you get the red ink from in your dragon jar vid, and just out of curiosity do you ever get any of your supplies from the craft and hobby shop?
I have a lot of brushes :) But I also use these things for pencils, cotton balls, bits-and-bobs exc. so I would have to make a lot more before I run out of uses for them :)
I love your videos, I just have one little critique; The music is so much louder than your voice, so I turn the volume up to hear you speak and then when you raise the music up again its SO loud. I love your tutorials! Thanks!
It is beautiful...you can put anything you want on it that's the whole idea I guess not everyone gets it! I have watched this video before and enjoyed it very much. now im going to actually do one thank you again for a brilliant idea love it!
I made the rose candle holder using my air dry clay. Thank you for the great idea. Do you have any ideas for decorating the candle? Please do more creative ideas with clay I still have lots left. :-)
Instead of nail polish you could use Mod Podge and you wouldn't need as many coats, and even though it is white it drys clear!!! It can be found at any craft store or even Walmart!
I finally get to do this now after waiting soooo long ( didnt have sea shells with me)! I dont have wall filler...so im just gonna use glue and yeah! hopefully it will turn out half as nice as yours! :)
For anyone who will attempt to do this, I recommend filling the inside of the jar so the wall filler paste doesn't go inside. It'll just be less messy. (:

My mom loves decorating her bathroom in sea-esque designs, this is a perfect mother's day gift for her! Thank you! :D

I think this is the prettiest from all your jar decorations
Goodness, you must have so many gorgeous jars.
as an american~ i really admire your accent, its so beautiful!
I think this would be awesome if you applied the wall filler, and then dusted a very very reflective, sparkly glitter on, and then stuck the shells in :3
+darkblood677 how about adding some sand in too? I think it would look pretty, like slightly wet sand on a beach, which sparkles in the sun too...
This is really pretty, and the wall filler almost looks like sand. I think I'm definitely going to try this!
No dislikes? Duh! Because this is awesome!! Just like all of your amazing tutorials :) This is so beautiful and so easy and would really be a beautiful gift. Thank you!!
is there a way to make the wall filler colored? like would putting food color in the water make it able to be a color? would it still work?
Your arts and crafts and decoration tutorials are awesome, as always
I am legitimately in love with this. I will definitely be doing a few of these over Easter break; it'll go PERFECTLY with my room! (:
I am loving your DIY series!! So creative and makes me feel like I can do it too!!!
I love your tutorials. They never disappoint
Remember me of " La Chaumière des Coquillages " in Rambouillet, France next to Paris, it look like a cottage of the 18th Century, decorate with marble, shell and nacre, i'm sure you will love it :)
What kind of wall filler are you using?
So pretty! I really want to do this, but is there anything I could use besides the wall filler? It's not something I have much access to.
Man, I bet wall filler/ spackle would be great for all kinds of projects!!!!

Klaire;
Is it possible to add a few drops of food coloring to the wall filler for added color variations ?
Instead of the rinestones, I would sprinkle sand in the cracks.
I just love your DIY vidoes! I have shells from the beach that I'm going to use to try this.
Is spackle the same thing as wall filler ? This is beautiful!! I used hot glue and they held on for 3 days and fell off !! Thank you for showing me what to use !! 😊

Instead of nail polish, can you use a sealer spray paint or sealer paint? Maybe mod podge?
Well done! Beautifully well crafted!
It would be so pretty if you added pearls!
yeah i was wondering the same thing, what can we use in the place of wall filler?
Now I remember, the video that got me started on your channel was your easy armor video. I'm glad I subscribed
This is so beautiful Klaire!!! I have been needing something to Put Cotten balls in so this is perfect!!!
is there something else I can use instead of wood filler? like plaster of paris or something? also for the one with the broken CDs? :)
LOVE IT! & where can you get wall filler??
@KlairedelysArt Klaire, where did you get the red ink from in your dragon jar vid, and just out of curiosity do you ever get any of your supplies from the craft and hobby shop?
could you put sand/glitter straight into the wet wall filler before you put it on?
I have a lot of brushes :) But I also use these things for pencils, cotton balls, bits-and-bobs exc. so I would have to make a lot more before I run out of uses for them :)
So pretty! I have a lot of sea shells. Thanks for the idea.
What would you think about putting modge podge on when it's all done to avoid scratching the shells? Would that even work? I don't know...
would the clear nail varnish still be necessary if we used sand?
Awesome.....Where can i buy the filler and how much would it cost me?
Is wall filler sort of like plaster?
I love your videos, I just have one little critique; The music is so much louder than your voice, so I turn the volume up to hear you speak and then when you raise the music up again its SO loud.
I love your tutorials! Thanks!

I love, love, love your DIY's! Thank you so much! I'm going to try this! Hopefully soon :)
I've been meaning for something to spice up my makeup area & this is PERFECT.
Nice job of demonstrating. My ?? is could you color the filler with food coloring for a prettier background?
it'd be really cool to do it to the top also! oh and when you say nail varnish, is that the same thing as nail polish?
if you dont have wall filler, would you be able to use silicone?
Could you add beach sand from the ocean? I have shells and sand from the ocean and I want to do something crafty with them!
So simple but it really is very beautiful. Thank you for the video tutorial
السلام عليكم شغلهه روعه بلازحمه اريد واحديجاوبني بالعربي شنو هاي الماده الي استعملتهه البيضه مثل العجين
U can also use joint compound
how do you clean the candle out without any residue?
I made the rose candle holder using my air dry clay. Thank you for the great idea.
Do you have any ideas for decorating the candle?
Please do more creative ideas with clay I still have lots left.
:-)
This is super pretty, you have the best ideas x x
Pretty, but since I don't this sort of stuff all the time, I wonder what I would do with the leftover "ingredients."
Should do (but I would set the sand/glitter either with a good few coats of hairspray or varnish) :)
What can i use instead of the wall filler??
i LOVE this jar! It's so summerish (haha if thats even a word..) I am so going to do this one this summer! :D
I don't have wallfiller! Can I use something else?
would tape at the top and bottom work? or would that interfere with the paste?
Did u buy the Shell or you were collecting them?
what is a wall filler and where can you get it from? :)
Do you think I could use sand instead of gems?
Where can you buy wall filler? ( I live in Canada...)
Love it!! I was just thinking that I need a plastic cup in my bathroom for the brushes & things... This would work out really well! :) thnks!!!
Would i be able to use clay instead of the filler?
Can I use plaster filler instead of wall filler? Or what else can I use?
Any Hardware store where you live
Instead of nail polish you could use Mod Podge and you wouldn't need as many coats, and even though it is white it drys clear!!! It can be found at any craft store or even Walmart!
when i pick shells at the beach, how many times i wash them afterwards, they keep having a rotten like smell :s
What is the name of the white stuff
Will have to do this one for sure love anything that's Ocean like or anything to do with the sea :)
this going to sound strange but your video are unbelively calming!! x
This is lovely! Have to make it!
what is wall filler? Is that the same as Plaster?
You are such an amazing artistic person
What exactly is “wall filler”? Is there an American word for that? Thanks!
I have a LOT of tutorials coming up using clay so keep your eyes peeled ;)
Can i just use hot glue instead of wall filler???
I finally get to do this now after waiting soooo long ( didnt have sea shells with me)! I dont have wall filler...so im just gonna use glue and yeah! hopefully it will turn out half as nice as yours! :)
It's beautiful! I'm definitely going to try this one out.
where is that music from
It would be cool to add food coloring or something to the wall filler to add some color.
That is amazing. i'm so gonna do this with my shells i have no use for.
This is lovely. Knowing my luck I'd drop it as soon as I put the wall filler on and make a giant mess. Clumsiness doesn't work well with creativity.
Yes you could :)
I would love this 4 my birthday on January 1st... just beautiful!
For anyone who will attempt to do this, I recommend filling the inside of the jar so the wall filler paste doesn't go inside. It'll just be less messy. (:
how did you not spill any
beautiful! Karen Kavvert sent me!
It's so beautiful!! I love it Klaire :) thank you! I'll try to make one
wall filler? what else can I use??????
Salt Light I think we can use glue gun
Gesso
Sand and the gems would have looked very pretty between the shells!
maybee plaster of paris??.. i would give it a try..
u my girl, are all kinds of genius!
Beautiful!!!! Will def do!!
