Dave Simpson reviews the solid body with a pair of humbuckers. The playing part is off the FKN chain! Harley Benton has become my first stop when I look for another guitar.🤙
@@PherotoneStudios HAHAHAHAHA!! I think this every time I see one of these damn videos...... just one more guitar, and I swear I'll I wont buy another one. LOL.
Iv got a cst24 that iv fully customised and it’s one of the best guitars iv ever played but I did have to sand the back of the neck (satin all the way) also just got a ex84 explorer and it’s great but not as good as the cst 24! I will be buying more Harley bentons they are awesome
Mine has the hbz Harley Benton actives and there even worse lol I can’t find a use for the so they will be replaced ASAP but other than that it’s needs nothing else oh but I did roll the edges of the fingerboard and sanded the back of the neck! Biggest issue tho it neck dives like a bitch pmsl
Ah, the Roswell pickups. I did wonder how they sounded. My EX doesn’t neck dive much luckily. It’s funny how both of our CSTs are better than the EX’s and the CSTs are cheaper
oop you did lower the neck pickup. it's the same pickup that's in most of their other guitars. it shouldn't be muddier than the SC, while that has a different pickup it's generally darker.not sure if the body has anything to do with it.
Gorgeous guitar! See what you mean about it being muffled. Kinda sounds like its being played in the next room lol. But definitely sounded so much better once you lowered it a little! You really can't go wrong getting a Harold Bishop! Can't wait to get myself a TE-40 TBK or TB-70 SBK. Still undecided lol. Great vid mate! 04:20 Hahah least it doubles as a home invasion deterrent too lol 12:54 Lol!
I have: DC-200 CH Student Series, CST-24T Black Flame, DC-600 VI Vintage Series, HB-35 Plus Vintage Burst, Beatbass VS Vintage Se, SC-Custom II Silver Burst, MS-60 VW Vintage Series, CST- 24T P90 Black Flame, I must say that they are good guitars for their price, but apart from adjusting the instruments well, both the package managers and customer service spoil the great work of developing the instruments, being at a level Quite low in comparison, to be quite honest, regards.
@@PherotoneStudios My favorite is the HB-35 Plus Vintage Burst, the price seems right to me, now they are also going up in price, also for equipping EMG/TESLA pickups and using roasted maple in the necks, stainless steel frets and other improvements, greetings. PS: Something interesting about Thomann, is that they accept suggestions from customers, I know from experience.

The P90 version is an a amazing guitar...
Stop it! Or I’ll end up buying one!
Oh great, now I’m on Thomann looking at them. This is your fault!!!

Three guitars in my sights. This one, the solid body version with P90s, or the SC 550...
I'll know which one by July. (My birthday)😁

I prefer it to the EX-84 too. Which pickups were in your EX? Mine has the active EMGs and they sound very dark

I really like the new Squires. But Harley Benton has a large variety of equally good, a few better guitars to choose from.
pickups aren't meant to be super high output , looks like they need to be lowered. still sound good to me.

@@PherotoneStudios haha I meant 12:54 lol. My bad.

Wow that’s a lot. Do any stand out more than others? And do you find that the price correlates with how good they are?

Can you get straty sounds?
just buy a strat
I think you find it light because you've got extra muscles compared to the average player.Lol..😀
The pickups sound a bit microphonic
I wonder if that’s because it’s semi-hollow?
