Months of the year in French

There are douze mois (12 months) in une année (a year).
The French months of the year do NOT start with a capital letter as in English (unless they are at the beginning of a sentence).
Some other vocabulary that is associated with months include:
le mois dernier = last month
ce-mois-ci = this month
le mois prochain = next month
En + Mois
If you want to say IN a certain month, you use the french word EN followed by the month.
en janvier = in January
en mai = in May
Mon anniversaire est en juillet = My birthday is in July
As in English, most of the French months of the year are inspired by the Roman calendar.
