I wish Barry would do a book about some of the experiences they had that only they and their close inner circle would know. Given some of the stories they HAVE shared, I imagine some insane things happened that they never talked about. I would love to get a peek behind the scenes of their tours and TV show performances. Especially the Spirits having flown tour. But really, from the very beginning. Friends who came and went, financial highs and lows, family get togethers, the births of their kids, things like that. That story about having to sing in a monsoon, or else, was really something. I would love to hear more like that. And I imagine the female fans did some crazy things also. Their wives must have had the patience of Job. I remember Tim McGraw (who is married to Faith Hill) said once, “she knows exactly what I have to do, and exactly why I have to do it.”
I would love hear about his favorite concert and his least favorite, and why. Basically I would love to hear story after story about their experiences through his eyes. But I am sure there were times when they all saw something the same way.
Tell him to write a book. Or at least do a blog for long time fans in his generation. I would love to read it. I hate to think of all those stories leaving with Barry someday. In his song he says “you can’t believe al things I could begin to yell you…”. We want to hear them, straight from the horses mouth…. At least the ones suitable for public consumption….8-)
