I went for the IWB Kydex for my Mete MC9 and all I can say is the quality from Muddy River Tactical is incredible! My wife and I will be swapping our entire arsenal to Muddy River holsters!
I haven't tried every holster on the market, but of what I do own, MRT is definitely most comfortable! Glad you and the wife are exercising your rights!
Muddy River Tactical is my local tool store 👍 Excellent customer service... I have not yet acquired a holster from them yet, but the hybrid you are reviewing is the likely candidate👍
I have now tried most of the major IWB brands for 3-4 o'clock carry (Alien, tier 1, hidden hybrid, Tenicor and crossbreed). I can say Muddy River is my favorite between the bunch and I have ordered 5 separate holsters between 4 different guns over the last year. This comfort carry holster is my favorite by far. The standard IWB Kydex Holster with claw is great and just as good as other brands of that style like Tenicor. Sure Tenicor is lower profile but they dont have nearly as many available guns as Muddy River. I cannot say enough good things about this comfort carry holster. It's the only 3-4o clock holster where the gun sits fully in kydex, front and back. I was hesitant at first when I picked it up bc the leather is not stiff at all like other holsters but that is bc its all about comfort. No need for stiff leather to protect the trigger since there is a kydex back. The lock up in the the holster is better than 80 percent of all holsters I have. Hidden Hybrid was my favorite prior to this holster bc of build quality and comfort. My issue was the leather back which affects retention over time and the trigger guard is not completely covered on the back. Im not kidding when I say I forget that Im carrying with this holster more than any other, it's just that comfortable. Edit: I posted this message before the last couple mins of your vid. I can confirm zero chaffing or comfort issues without wearing an undershirt (after ~6 months of daily carry), granted Im not appendix carrying. I have a beer gut and spend 8+ hours in an office chair everyday so comfort is king for me. Also I just realized that I have never pinched myself when holstering with the comfort carry which is a huge plus for me when doing holster drills. Im now realizing the leather back replaces the slide sweat guards on kydex holsters which is the main cause of discomfort for me.
I also want to note the customer support is killer, if you want a holster that isnt listed then shoot them an email. I had issues trying to find a holster for the PDP Pro SD. I sent an email about needing a PDP holster with threaded barrel and TLR-1 compatibility. They responded within the hour and made it happen.
I can't say I forget carrying it aIWB, but if it were hip or 5/6 I could see it. With that said, aIWB carry with this holster, is so far above and beyond anything else I've tried to appendix carry with. Thank you for the feedback, brother. Have a great week! Happy 4th!
It is marketed and designed for inside the wasteband, however it is not designed to carry appendix and it says as much on the item description (See info BELOW) "Comfort Carry Inside the Waistband Hybrid Holster" " Designed for 3-5 O’Clock Carry Positions!"
I got one for the mc9 from here and I don’t know what happened but the quality control must of been on strike/break or off that day. It had more rattle Maraca the front sight channel was off by a little over 1/8 of inch.
Absolutely. It'd probably be good to do an update video. The leather has softened and molded to my body, making it a little more comfortable on those long days carrying. Thank you for the inquiry!
Carry it daily. The leather is holding up very good, kydex retention is still perfect. The only thing I find when I'm sitting for extended periods in the vehicle, around 1-2 hours, I do get pinched, but that's a my weight problem and not the holster 🤣
Just curious here.. i wonder if anyone has tried to secure some comfort padding to the kydex holster that comes with the mc9? Update- The included IWB is a p.o.s. Not sure why they bothered. It's canted the wrong way to appendix carry, and very uncomfortable at 3 and 4 o'clock.

Just purchased this for my mc9 before even seeing your review, was going to go for a CrossBreed, glad I found MRT!
Glad to have helped! Our group of guys are going shooting this morning. Enjoy!

The single clips have never worked for well enough for me. This is by far the best I've used.

I couldn't agree more with the customer service. Very responsive and accommodating.

💯👌

That's correct. I do use it aIWB, though. Works great!

Reach out to them. If something is wrong I'm sure they'll fix it. Let me know how it goes!
@@wizhd7 yea I did I sent it back and we will see what happens from here. They have pretty good customer service so far though
Good to know. I haven't had an issue with the one holster I have from MRT but I'll definitely post about it if I do!
@@wizhd7 wish I could show the video of it I usually get armzmen holsters but wanted to try something a little cheaper and paid for it end the end
Now it has been a few months is it still your holster? Was it easy to make adjustments?

I recently got the mc9 and was thinking of getting this exact holster how has it been holding up for you?

That's a good question. It's possible, I suppose.
@@wizhd7 picking mine up today.. ill see if it's possible.
Can you use it with out a belt?
I don't believe you're going to use any clip holster, successfully, without a belt. I'd say no.
Where can I get this holster? I need one for my Mete mc9

@@wizhd7 Thanks Brother
The one i got sucks!!
Which did you get?
@@wizhd7 mc9 kydex holster. It has good retention but the belt clip is to flimsy. The whole holster come out when i draw
You need to get the double clip design, as I show here. Much more stable, especially if you need to sprint to cover, a threat.
Don't know why the words buy, bought and buying have become so "unsophisticated" these days🤔
