Interesting dialogue between Batman and Joker at Blackgate prison. Batman: Arkham Shadow is an action-adventure video game played from a first-person perspective. In the game, the player assumes control of Batman who must stop a new villain called the Rat King from unleashing chaos in the city. The rhythmic, free-flow combat from the previous games returns in Shadow, allowing Batman to attack, stun and counter. Combining these three main abilities can keep Batman attacking while moving between enemies and avoiding being attacked himself. The stealth predator sections are also back. Batman can activate Detective Vision to identify the locations and the patrol patterns of all enemies in an area, and stealth tactics such as silent takedowns, inverted takedowns and hiding in grates can be used against armed enemies. He also has a large arsenal of tools, such as smoke bombs and batarangs to aid combat.
@@yahallobenjamin2354 Yes but another one of him as the main villain would have been overkill so it’s good the developers didn’t go that direction here

Of all the games in the Arkham saga, this was the one that most showed the relationship between Batman and Joker just like in the cartoons, that both need each other for both to exist.
@@twinzzlersYes, but he only realized this after his death. Just like in the cartoon, in the episode where the Joker thinks Batman is dead, he refuses to steal. After Arkham City and before Arkham Knight starts, there is a detail that Batman was not able to deal with the Joker's death, that he stops eating, working out, just fighting without any rest.
@@aNgEl_oF_dE_nIgHtI know that’s what most people think, but truth is, Batman doesn’t need the joker in any sort of way. The reason Batman was so depressed after Arkham city was not just because the joker died, but also because of the amount of people he couldn’t save, including Talia. He realized the futility of his own mission. Joker, on the other hand, thinks he needs Batman because he’s desperate for his worldview to be right, and sees Batman as someone like him.
Honestly, considering how a lot of people have complained Joker keeps hogging the spotlight, I can respect the decision to relegate him to a minor appearance in this game while still giving him a chance to shine.
It’s interesting because he’s not quite the stoic, controlled and focused on rehabilitation Batman in Asylum nor the vengeful ball of rage and hate from Origins. He recognises that Joker is a cut above the average maniac (to put it mildly) and could probably kill him if he wasn’t so focused on the theatrics… but he likewise could stop him if he broke his one rule. It’s a rare acknowledgment from Bats that Joker actually is incredibly intelligent and, bizarrely, more knowledgeable than most on what motivates the costumed criminal’s mind.
Also it probably annoyed/terrified the hell out of Bruce from then on that the clown could recognise him instantly from his voice but he never figured out who joker *actually* was/is… in fact now I think about it Joker knew he was Bruce Wayne but probably couldn’t figure out a “funny” way to work that into a gag.
Kind of a pity they made a proper Arkham game, but available to like 5% of the audience. Yet that other train wreck that shall not be named was cursed to all.
This game gives Batman Multi personality disorder. It also doesn’t explain how his “Matches”disguise doesn’t get torn or broken with all the fighting. A lot of plot holes.

Joker's sepcial bond with Batman can make him recognized Batman's voice even through a wall.
This is more less confirms that joker knows who Batman is., if he could tell just by voice.
Oh, he definitely knows *who* Batman is, he just doesn't care. Joker's only ever been interested in the Bat, not the man...
